(L) Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu‎ (Baka and Test and Shoukanjuu)

First episode was beyond horrible. I suppose I could put to words exactly what's wrong with it, the powerfully unfunny jokes, flat characters, idiotic setting, lack of explanation of the "battle" mechanic, dumb fight scenes.. But what's the point really? If you like pokemon, you will like this, since it's right up that alley. But if you like pokemon there's no reasoning with you anyway -_-

Pokemon with added (mild) ecchi -> drop after 1 ep -> rate 2/10.. only because it was marginally tolerable before the fight scenes started.
Now, excuse me while I go crack some skulls at anidb for having put this in the seinen category and thus wasting 30min of my time..

I liked the first ep. Very lively with lots of activity. I'm wondering how they plan to continue with this premise though, it seems a bit limited.

It looks to me that it'll be more character driven then plot, meaning we'll have quite a few episodes focused on certain characters, as we learn more about them. I know that's what i want anyway!

I never even noticed that on anidb; Huh..you'd think that it being originally published in "Shōnen Ace" would be a clue as to its category, but not for everyone.

I'm with bbee on this one...Just flat out terrible episode. Only thing I can praise is the unique BG art style which was the only thing that kept me from just giving up half-way through.

For a series that I've heard mentioned many times lately was a huge disappointment...But I guess I'll give it the cursory 2 more episodes before completely condemning it.

Probably obvious, but this is definitely a hit-or-miss anime, like Sora no Otoshimono was. That being said, this is definitely a hit for me. I thought the LN was dumb after reading the first chapter, but I feel like I'm going to like the anime better.

The pacing is good, the art isn't terrible like Tayutama's, so I have high hopes for this one. To be honest, I'm already liking this more than most of the anime last season.

Didn't read the manga but episode 1 was pretty interesting/funny. Definitely will be following it.

Okay read up to chapter 7 and it's definitely different but episode 1 still wasn't that bad.

Read the manga: didn't like it. But for the Anime, fight was kinda stupid but the other stuff is so damn funny in animated form. Art is pretty good too.

i recommend read the novel instead of the manga adaption since the novel is really good and totally better for me

class A already eh...they were supposed to skip E and go straight to D (then proceed forward), wasn't that like a big point? but its still a good adaptation so far.

That was quite fun, and if they don't overdo the battle bits (although the transformation sequence was hilarious) could be a good daft entertaining show.

And did I hear a 'Zetsuboshita!' in the background?

I'll have to see more to find out how the story develops, I think.

Yeah i heard it as well, though it's hardly a reference when it's just an everyday line.
