I didn't hear any Saori Hayami in the PV. Fail.
I did hear Sakurai as the teacher though, so I guess that's some redemption.
Rest of the PV looked very unimpressive.

Hrm ... the PV didn't do a whole lot for me, and neither did the clip for the OP (or is it the ED?) ... but oh well, will still give it a try at least.

I don't know why they chose the Scandinavian word "solister" (lit., "soloists") for the song title.
I guess novelty's one factor.

Wow. An anime basically about band class. Has my time finally come?

If this leaning more towards Sakamichi no Apollon/Kids on the Slope and not K-On, which from everything I'm reading seems to be the case, this'll probably be a keeper.

Speaking of Sakamichi no Apollon, I couldn't resist. Just imagine the possibilities

For some reason I don't see her working on a KyoAni show. I can't really explain it right but the styles don't seem to match to me.

It's Akito Matsuda (Nijine) doing the music for this show, some of his prior works include.. Chuunibyou, Nourin, Glasslip and D-Frag.
