There's a thread out in Upcoming for ViVid Strike. As we discussed in that thread, it's noteworthy that this is not actually given the "Nanoha" name, probably due to fall-out with the Production Committee. It also seems to be back in the hands of King Records and Seven Arcs. So even though it is very obviously tied in to the Nanoha franchise and to ViVid in particular (the Nanoha/ViVid author is doing the anime scripts, even)... it's technically not Nanoha.

I have no idea what that means for the show as it relates to this sub-forum. We'll have to see how it all shakes out. But for now, the thread for it is as linked above.

either it is vivids sequel or it is something brand new. If it is the next season of vivid then we know the direction its going. If not then we are in for surprises.

I think though if it is the next season of vivid that they waited for the manga to get ahead so they could produce the anime without any filler episodes. Like what happened with bleach when the anime caught up to the manga and they made all those awful filler episodes.

Guess we're getting Vivid S2 as well as Vivid Strike.

I have no idea what's going on anymore with Nanoha. Good job, Japan, you've done it.

About ViViD S2: I hope this means BDs for S1 are coming? Not the show's biggest fan, to be fair, but at least it'll have Nanoha and Fate. Hopefully? lol.

Technically nearly everything is a spin off of the series.

Vivid was good till the tornament arc and then lost quality. Not bad but I suspect everyone is ready for the same tratment we got for seasons 1-3.

At this point, I'm not sure it's really clear what this means at all. It could be that some parts of the production committee went their separate ways and are both going to produce their own separate franchises in this larger metaverse. Or, it could be that this was early info that hit press before the latest info changed, and this may end up being actually what ViVid Strike became. Who knows...

At this point, I'd like to see if that gets correlated by other information and how they explain the coexistence of the two (if that's what's happening).

I am simply worried of the direction the series is taking. After vivid and force I hope for a return to the glory that were the original three seasons of Nanoha.

Also form the list of names and staff I wonder what the name of this new character.

Really liked the opening theme, Nana does a great job as usual.

Nice peaceful start to this at the Takamachi household, it was pretty funny seeing that art Nanoha put on the food, I really like how Nanoha & Vivio gave each other a high five as a goodbye.

Vivio and her 2 friends Corona & Rio also give each other high fives for being in the same class lol, high fives for everyone.

hey it's Nove and some of the other combat cyborgs, nice to see that there are doing well, Nove is teaching these girls martial arts.

Vivio gets her intelligent device, it's a rabbit like the doll Nanoha got for her when they first met, Fate's reaction when she transformed into an adult was funny as.

Nice, we get to see Caro & Erio, they have grown up a bit now that they are young teenagers.

Nove has run into the girl who has been attacking people recently, this could be trouble.

Spoiler for Episode 2:

That fight was exciting for the short time it lasted, Nove got done in though but she did enough damage to the new girl to have her pass out later and be collected by Teana, pretty celever putting a tracker on her.

We learn her name is Einhard, I thought it was funny how she woke up next to Nove who was just casually reading a book like nothing had happened.

Nice to see Subaru again, and nice to see them all enjoying breakfast together, Nove is part of the Nakajima family now.

Einhard has inherited memories from her past ancestors, which explains the flashbacks she has and that we also see from the Belka past.

Because of her past ancestors she wants to be the best/strongest fighter around, Nove invited her to martial arts training.

Vivio, Corona & Rio are now interested in Einhard and want to meet her and even learn more about Belka past.

Spoiler for Episode 3:

Nice to see all the combat cyborgs who were rehabilitated are doing well.

There it is, our first meeting between Vivio & Einhard.

It was a nice little spar they had, you could clearly tell from this that Einhard had much more experience, Vivio was quite motivated though after that and is happy to work hard during the week leading up to their next match.

Einhard wins again but Vivio put up a decent fight this time and even got a few hits in, even Einhard realized that she had not taken her as seriously as she should have.

That was a good battle and I am looking forward to the future episodes to see their friendship grow.

In this episode I learned about Heterochromia, I went to Wikipedia to take a better look.

Spoiler for Episode 4:

A 4 day vacation, should be a lot of fun for them and they will get to meet more people like Caro & Erio.

Nanoha's reaction when meeting Einhard was exactly what I was hoping it would be, little does Einhard know that Vivio's mother is the white devil of the battlefield.

Nice to see Lutecia is doing very well, she was very excited to give us that little tour.

That water cutting practice seems useful, seems Einhard & Vivio overdid it as well, there arms were very sore afterwards.

I am liking this slow development between Einhart & Vivio. I don't mind when things take time to sort themselves out.

Nice to see the others from StikerS doing really well.

Spoiler for Episode 5:

Einhard gets to see all the StrikerS in action during a training sesion, as expected she was very surprised at their roles and what they are capable of.

And there is the obligatory hot spring shenanigans, not that I'm complaining.

Nice to know that intelligent devices can activate and set up when someone is in danger ever from a distance, not that Rio was in any actual danger but either way it's very handy, hopefully Sein has learned her lesson.

Corona has her own intelligent device now, very happy for her, now we know Lutecia was talking about earlier when she mentioned a secret thing.

I'm looking forward to the mock battles, we will definitely see some exciting action.

Spoiler for Episode 6:

I like how everyone got a transofrmation scene.

Subaru & Nove using transportation magic is very helpful, those who can't fly now have platforms to move around on.

Rio showed some great moves there, attacking the golems feet to knock it down then showing great strength being able to throw it like that.

As expected Einhard got wiped out by Nanoha but she showed some good moves there, good thing both sides have a healer to help out when required.

Nanoha & Teana both want to fire off breakers, this is going to be one destructive battle.

Excellent battle and tactics used so far, looking forward to seeing the outcome next time.

Spoiler for episode 7:

Great strategy used by Corona & Caro to knock out Lutecia & Rio, but letting your guard down in the middle of a battle is a big no no, Nanoha instantly pounced and took them out.

Double starlight breaker, that was always going to be very destructive, it took out half the combatants and did lots of damage to others.

I'm actually not surprised the match ended in a draw, it was great to watch.

Those 4 really pushed themselves out there, no surprised they were sore and had trouble moving for bit.

Magic battles, the inter middle championship, no surprise that Einhard was very interested when Lutecia showed them the info, the other 3 will be competing as well.

Very happy to see Hayate, not sure about the animal mask lol but good to see she is enjoying life, I like the new look for Agito & Reinforce Zwei.

I'm sure they will make a good intelligent device for Einhard.

The Wolkenritter are also doing well, Zafira is training with Miura who will be competing as well, we also get a quick look and introduction for many of the other competitors including the champion.

Spoiler for Episode 8:

I guess the punishment Chantez got was some kind of divine judgment?

That moment when Einhard opens the box, kawaii level over 9000.

Asteion/Tio, I love the backstory and the reason as to why Einhard gave her intelligent device that name.

Einhard seems to have found a good sparring partner in Micaiah, meanwhile the other 3 have their own training partners to help them out.

Those were pretty easy victories for both Vivio & Miura, interesting how they made those matches to be straight up withought the use of devices.

Einhart VS Corona & Vivio VS Miura are battles I definitely want to see.

Spoiler for Episode 9:

Those were some funny moments between the older competitors to start off this episode.

Einhard got to interact with the champion, they are in the same block and could potentially meet later on.

Interesting how the battles are worked out with the crash emulator and all.

That was a rather enjoyable prime match between Harry & Els, Harry taking out the win using those chains of Els to her advantage.

All 4 members of team Nakajima made it through quite easily.

I loved the look on Einhart's face when she was a cheerleader when those 4 were giving Miura their support.

Another great match between Micaiah & Miura, I thought Micaiah was going to win but that was one hell of a comeback and very impressive last attack Miura did.

Spoiler for Episode 10:

I do agree with Victoria, A sister carrying weapons, and what is she not wearing?

I wonder what those up above think of all that.

Chantez had some good moves there and her illusion/clone magic was impressive but victoria was way too much for her to handle, a pretty easy win in the end.

I am very much looking forward to Einhard VS Corona, should be a great match.

Einhard wants to win in order to face Sieglinde so she can prove her strength against a champion.

Corona has started off this fight really well, her tactics have taken Einhard by surprise and has enabled her to use creation.

Spoiler for Episode 11:

Goliath really packs a punch, it took Einhard's life down by about 2/3.

Wow great moves by Einhard, Knocking Corona down with that attack and then very impressive destroying Goliath.

Corona also showing some great martial arts skills to knock down Einhard using moves she learned by practicing with Vivio, she came so close to winning that round.

This body automation tactics Corona were using were interesting but Einhard knew about them and had a great plan to counter.

That final sequence to end the match was something else, both of them were incredible, Einhard's haouryu skills coming out on top and helping her get the win here.

That right there was one of the greatest battles in all of the Nanoha series, the flashbacks added to the drama and made it even better.

They get a lot of health back and repaired clothes after each round so it's just like starting from scratch again.

Spoiler for Episode 12 & Series Score:

Really great moment there between Einhard & Corona to start things off.

Even Tio was at his limits, good thing they can use that power transfer to help out their intelligent devices.

That's our Lutecia for you, a comfortable win for her, it didn't go unnoticed either, Fabia Crozelg who participated in the next match is also a witch who used some kind of black magic to win, either way Lutecia was kinda excited to see that.

Nice to see Einhard was worried about Corona, she now know's what it's like to be part of a team and is sad and concerned about fighting her team mates, Nove is there as usual to motivate Einhard, she really is great at talking to the kids and understands how the feel, even Corona was able to say goodbye before she left and said some cool things to Einhard.

That's the end of a good series, unfortunately it didn't last as long as Strikers, I really
wanted to see a lot more episodes.

Unfortunately there may have been problems between Yukari Tamrua's agency & Seven Arcs which led to this being animated by A-1 instead, and there were also quality issues during airing and other factors which is why this might have bombed and we haven't had a 2nd season and may never get one which is disappointing as this was really good.
