Aye I agree. I think the characters should focus on their own studies more and expand their knowledge while not being under intense pressure. They should consolidate what they have and try reach for higher heights. I mean Souma needs to learn a lot of info so he can experiment more. He needs to prepare in order to keep up with other geniuses. Perhaps he too needs to travel around and gain experience. Megimi needs to gain more confidence and try tap further into her potential. The Aldini brothers need to mix other cultures into their work. Etc. I think going back to bashing ideas against each other would be great. There they can gain some slice of life chapters while further enhancing their cooking skills.

No, the final arc should be that Erina's mom and Souma's mom are one and the same person (making her the true mastermind behind the scenes), in that she left behind a final legacy, a daughter that is super perfect in cooking and that Souma and Erina would have to beat their long lost sister to be the best!

@Used Can: Like I said before, Souma has to have Shokugekis against challengers to be able to keep his position as 1st Seat. He has a huge target on his back now. He even said that near the end, like, "Everyone come at me!".

Kurokiba and one other person (don't remember who) said they'll challenge him the next day. You really think there won't be any Shokugekis even with this?

1st Seat: Souma
4th Seat: Hayama
5th Seat: Kurokiba
6th Seat: Alice
10th Seat: Megumi

It seems Hisako is not in the Elite Ten since she's serving as secretary to Tootsuki's director. 4 out of the remaining 5 seats should be Takumi, Mimasaka, Isshiki and Kuga. So then who's the last remaining? I can't think of anyone else from the 92nd generation who is better than Megumi.

Just because they participated does not mean they are better than them. Remember that Megumi and Takumi only survived the purge in a technicality on Rindou's whim.

I was thinking more of the contribution part really. Members who actually fought in the final showdown or better (?) members who were taken down before the actual 'battle'. Unless there was rank changes and Takumi/Megumi/Mimasaka moved down ranks while Alice/Kurokiba/Hayama moved up ranks through shokugeki.

Oh yeah, so this makes Souma has the quickest record of becoming a first seat within his freshmen years (before it was Azami and Tsukasa who became a first seat in early part of second year).

They are 2nd years now. We don't know Takumi and Mimasaka's seat rankings yet.

Possible explanation for Megumi's seat ranking is that given her personality she doesn't really care about getting a higher seat. She is actually capable of getting a higher seat but she can only give her absolute 100% when she really needs to.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least if Rindou and Tsukasa had seats because of the fact they're still damn skilled.
