Hmm, looks like fan art to me. But then again, Angelic Days was pretty whacked in it's own way too. First, the shoujo variety NGE, now the typical shounen flavor. At least they look more serious than their Angelic Days counterparts in these pics.

Yeah, I heard about this and I was quite surprised.

In this manga, Shinji lives with his teacher, Misato. His father works abroad and his mother is dead.

After reading the first chapter you get the impression that there are no Evangelions. Looks like in this story its Humans (with weapons) VS Angels.

Kaworu and Ayanami are like "Angel hunters" or something like that.

This looks like a promising manga to me... Can't wait to see more info on it. I like how Rei is weilding that lance. I also like seeing Kaworu again. His stay in the anime was way to short for me.

Well...atleast it looks like Shinji isn't overly Emo. I'm quite interested in this series. It feels like Noir meets Cowboy Bebop meets NGE.

I agree with Manly Madonna on the way Shinji looks. I think it's nice to see him willing to fight insted of being frightened of it. Or at least it looks that way from these pics. Kick some buttocks Shinji!!

I can see this as being an Evangelion fanboy's ultimate side story fantasy. The whole story is even constructed like an alternate universe fan-fiction. While the characters' appearances and, to some degree, backgrounds stay relatively unchanged, there are some notable differences in their roles in this story universe.

Nerv isn't a top-secret government agency anymore. Instead, it's a Catholic school for the elite. Rather than being the emo that everybody hates, Shinji takes on the role of a typical shounen protagonist who gets unknowingly sucked into the conflict of supernatural forces that could determine the fate of the world. Kaoru's still a little creepy, but he's sexual orientation seems far less ambiguous this time around. Rei is still the silent enigma, and Asuka doesn't even get that much exposure in the first chapter. Misato is given the role of the "hot teacher," while Kaji acts as Shinji's irresponsible guardian.

Casting choices aside, the first chapter suggest the story won't be deviating too far from the standard shounen fare of "young heroes kicking bad guy ass and saving the world." I don't really have a problem with that, but it's a little bit unsettling seeing Shinji acting so... normal. To be fair, though, the story still has a lot of room to develop, so I'm hoping for some surprises.

Art wise, I'm digging the clean, crisp presentation. The style is significantly different from Sadamoto's designs, but still captures the essence of the characters. No complaints here.

I have to say, I'm loving the brownish school suits the Shinji and the others are wearing. There is too many regular black or deep blue school uniforms, that this simple change of design adds greatly to the tone of the story. The lighter colours and design also remind me a little bit of the student council clothing from Utena, which makes some amount of sense since both schools are European derived. They are also similiar to Fuyutsuki's clothing from both the manga and the series.

Very interesting so far, can't wait for the next chapters.

Read the first few chapter and I love it so fare.

-The art is freaking incredible
- The story seems decent
- And all my favorite characters are there

Chapter 3 is out. And a fair bit is explained in this chapter, with Shinji receiving his "EVA" and the explanation of what Kaworu and the other does in relation to maintain the balance of 'Yggdrasil'.

Judging from the first 3 chapters it looks promising. Though the best it can become is a solid shounen series. Probably won't become anything mind boggling.

Anyhow I do want more since it is a nice read.
