Kadokawa and Amazon's listings for the sixth volume of author Tone Koken and illustrator Hiro's Super Cub novels briefly listed the series with an anime adaptation. The announcement has been removed from Kadokawa and Amazon's websites, but it it still visible as text in Google search results. Kadokawa will release the volume on December 1.

Plot:

The novels' story centers on Koguma, a high school girl in Yamanashi. She has no parents, friends, or hobbies, and her daily life is empty. One day, Koguma gets a used Honda Super Cub motorcycle. This is her first time going to school on a motorcycle. Running out of gas and hitting detours become a small source of adventure in Koguma's life. She is satisfied with this strange transformation, but her classmate Reiko ends up talking to her about how she also goes to school by motorcycle. One Super Cub begins to open up a lonely girl's world, introducing her to a new everyday life and friendship.

Starts off with a double-shot of Debussy, which is always a good thing.

I loved the way the colors suddenly brightened the first time she started the engine.

Panicking and then remembering the owner's manual reminds me of my first new car. It was a stick-shift and I didn't realize it was designed so that the engine wouldn't start unless the clutch was in.

And in a bit of good timing, just this week my current car was paid off!

Wow, I was expecting the usual a lot of girls riding bikes thing, but there were actually a lot more old men than anything else. I kinda doubt it will stay this way though.

I did like the relaxed atmosphere of the show. It was really... quite. Like the above said, it was like almost everyone died on Earth and there were an extreme lack of side and mob characters, and was just a girl getting a motorcycle.
And the art style fits the mood.

However, while she rarely talks, her VA is... not so good.

^ Koguma is voiced by a first-timer VA who is also a motorcycle enthusiast.

Also, with Mars Red and this, I feel like my ears are blessed. These two shows deliver some pretty nice audio.

Is better like than for Koguma. Where I live she would already eaten dirt with how awful the traffic is and how shitty the drivers are.

It's set in Yamanashi province in the mountainous region to the west of Tokyo. Yamanashi is quite rural and doesn't have a large population. Think of this series as Non Non Biyori on wheels.

so she got the thing for 10k yen. I heard 4k is an allowance for a week in Japan. So she got that thing for really cheap.

comfortable ride to school, but she had problem with gas.. thankfully, she remembered what the olkd man put there.

Yamanashi has about the same land area and population density as the US state of Delaware. The Wikipedia article says about a quarter of the prefecture is national parks, including the northern half of Mount Fuji and 78% of its land area is forested. Shibuya it isn't.

I lived 10 years in village of 1k people and trust me even there people exist and occasionally manifest outside of their homes.

Emptiness in this anime is almost certainly stylistic choice not realistic rendition of Yamashita or any other rural area.

Oh yes, it was to show how alone she feels in the world.

What I want to know is what happened to her bicycle, which seems to evaporate the moment she gets on the Super Cub. Did she trade it in?
