3 things I want to highlight(from teaser only):
1- The image they choose to open the teaser is the last image of the manga and the "as long the gem of the sword shines, Dai is alive". May this mean they will commit (if the series do well) to animate all the story ? other may think this mean some type of continuation from where manga ended but I doubt that. 2- And this what caught my attention, No use of the dragon quest fanfare , why? this may will raise some wild speculation but for now just wait for more info. 3- The battle scene is the fight vs Crocodain in Nomos castle, may this confirm remake over continuation of the old anime series?

A classic from my teenage years returns to the small screen, and how much that news has taken me by surprise with both nostalgia and affection.
Dragon Quest: Dai no Bouken became a huge sensation when it was brought over to all Latin America back in 1995. I thought back then when watching the last episode of the TV anime that there was yet more to come or to be explored, because I felt the story was still ways to go before reaching the conclusion. Years later while surfing and researching in the web I learned that the last story arc covered in the anime differed greatly from its correspondent counterpart in the manga, and that in order to continue with the story one had to switch to the manga to see through it. Hopefully, this new iteration for Dai will finally cover all of the manga story that the first anime left out about 30 years ago. |

Nice first episide. There were some scenes that looked a bit too !ugh like cheap CG but globally I'd say the fights were well done and that's important. Going by the pacing, this is going to last for a long time.
