The CG and new cast might be a dealbreaker for some.

to be honest I don't care about the cast since I watched dubbed as a kid so yeah, but the CG is killing me. I think I'm going to pass on this one.

I can handle the CG but not the cast. Will still watch it though.
But Kamiya Subaru as Sakuragi....I only see him as Gian from doraemon reboot lol.

Original VA of Sakuragi, Rukawa, and Mitsui still does voice acting so I wonder if they didnt get the offer or they declined the offer themselves.

So Sakuragi is not the lead? Wonder how different it is from the manga. Sakuragi had a really nice line in the match that pretty much closed his character arc from the story

I finally watched it. It was great 9/10.

I got my little issues but it was a really good movie. I love what they did with ryota.

Watched the movie. It exceedded all of my expectations

The seriousness from Ryota's story and the balance of the comedy reminded me of how Kenshin's remake toned down the comedy to properly focus on the psychology. Almost felt I was watching something based of a seinen manga. The composer nailed it by toning down the music too and have Ryota's heartbeat be used during the most pivotal scenes.
