Only Jou knows these words. And now this Suzuki instructor tells it straight to his son. Come on, Jou left the phone on so Soma could learn of his defeat against Asahi. There's something going on for sure.

Meh, not to mention the looks on Jou's face when he lost, it's absolutely comedic, the way the blood drips from his mouth. I suppose this is a ploy of Jou to make his thickheaded son realize his true love.

Not saying there isn't something going on, but that doesn't mean Joe lied about Asashi being his son. I can imagine why he'd fake his defeat, but not why he'd invent a fake brother for Soma. Any guy who can defeat his dad would rile Soma up, no need to make him his brother.

It's like the characters themselves secretly hated how slow the Azami arc was and just want Soma to pick someone to bang to end it all.

Looking back, the whole thing sounded shady.

Random unknown guy who uses the Saiba name suddenly beats the Asura efortlessly, and rather than dramatic, it's portrayed in a rather comedic way, up to showing Jou bleeding from his mouth for added hilarity.

Now this Asahi introduces himself to Soma as an instructor hired by the school who goes by the name of Suzuki. Instructor means he's there to hone up the students, and particularly, Soma himself.

Also... 'Asahi' is a pun for 'Asahiru'. It means 'to make up / fabricate'.

I think we were too quick to judge things and this will end up being a ploy.

SnS without a convoluted plot is not SnS. So yeah, you may be right on this one.

And the chapter is out (FAST as hell for this week)

I am not sure whether this new guy is the same "Saiba" of the previous chapter or he is one of the "Heavenly Saiba 4" or he is completely just a new character that has nothing to do with "Saiba".
