So who is the actual MC here Angela or Tuesday and Carole?
Why she the one get conflict here...

Not hard to understand why Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song is the title song for this week's episode.

Mars even has ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement).

Pretty clear that Mama was on his way to a full-blown heart attack when they were in the cab. He's probably dead, but it's anime so maybe not.

I rather expected the three girls to team up when the show began. Sure looks like that's where things are headed.

Carole and Tuesday's song this week was probably their best performance so far.

So have we seen Mr. Mastermind before? I didn't recognize him in the scene with Tao, but it's been over twenty weeks now, so I might just have forgotten.

Mr. Mastermind was the guy from the episode where Tao asked him to invest a fuckton of money into Angela -- or I guess into the AI he developed based on her, rather.

I wonder if Mama dropped dead on the spot or if she'll be okay. It can equally go either way, but I'm not sure if I'd care too much no matter what the outcome, really. She's been over-controlling towards Angela at her worst and almost painfully indifferent at her best. If she's dead, it might be for the better.

I'm not entirely sure with where I'm at on this show as a whole, tbh. I'll finish it, but I swear, if I see some shit like "C&T (and maybe Angela) release people from evil brainwashing music with the power of raw human emotion!", I'm gonna be SO mad.

They're not bothering anybody and I'm pretty sure they have legit papers, unlike Amer. He did tell Carole he had to do illegal stuff to get where he is. It's possible Carole could get arrested because of her connection to him though.

Maybe my ears aren't working correctly but I didn't hear any organ during Carole and Tuesday's performance. It was supposed to be special but sounded just like any of their other songs.

I was hoping the singer they would collaborate with would be Flora, but I figured chances were slim. She was completely forgotten after her episode.

I wanted flora too but to get crystal was an amazing feat for gus, he really did gave them a great present, and by the looks of it angela isn’t in position to fight them with all, maybe tao after he screw with everyone in mars just take her and disappear together forever.

I'm also in the camp of having wanted Flora, but Gus managing to get Crystal was impressive. I'm curious as to how that's going to turn out.

As for what's going on with Angela... I really wish all of that didn't occur over the course of an episode. I appreciate the text she sent to Tao at the end, because it really reinforces how much she values him. And I get why she's spiraling right now. But I just feel like it's too much all at once and I would've preferred to have seen it built up over a bit more time.

Getting Crystal is indeed impressive, especially considering it's Gus we're talking about

Speaking of which, Tuesday mentioned they're broke in this episode, so what is Gus doing with the money? I don't know what Mars' population is, but I figure being 18th on the charts should net you some nice profits. Not to the point of becoming rich, but certainly not broke either. Maybe Tobe's fees are really high? I don't think they ever really discussed that.

Their finances have always been a puzzlement since their appearance on Mars Brightest.

I noticed that billboard gets a credit at the end along with Nord and Gibson. Maybe the producers needed to license the trademark for the charts? Doing a search for "trademarks" at billboard.com doesn't bring up anything helpful though.

"It's Too Late" is one of Carole King's signature tunes. Too late for whom? Certainly Amer and probably Dahlia. Who else? Tao? Valerie?

Was Angela trying to commit suicide or taking anti-depressants? Seemed like the former to me.

Could we get a tearful reunion between Amer and Carole?

I heard the organ, but I also heard two guitars which was weird since Carole was supposed to be playing keyboard. I guess having a keyboard sound like a guitar is some kind of a miracle though?

Even modern keys have such functionality. Though, how close it sounds varies a lot.

And I personally heard bnoth organ and piano-like sound in the melody, though, for general viewer it is hard to catch.

Hm.....so it looks like the opening preview that the show has been teasing all these weeks is gonna happen at the Grammy's. I'm so happy that Crystal is back to collab with them. I really like her singing voice.

The politics has been surprisingly on point most of the time, though I should point out that the terrorist bombings being false flag operations stray into the "tinfoil hat" conspiracy zone and I wouldn't ever believe in a million years that Ezekiel's prison guards would help him make a music video. It would be a higher probability that they'd just beat the shit out of him. XP

oh yeah. I forgot to mention that. It's so weird how those MICE officers were so hospitable toward him. Maybe they're secretly Ezekiel fans. And how did he must have some nice connections to make that music video while in jail.

I could understand the guards just filming him rapping but there was even music in his video. On seconds thought, finding guards willing to film would be pretty hard in the first place, they're risking their jobs.

Angela somehow always manages to steal the show. Tao apparently never reached out to her, and she had to go through this all alone. Assuming this is right, that means she wrote that song by herself, proving she's a real artist and not just Tao's puppet. Losing Dhalia is incredibly hard, but at least Dhalia's final words to her ended up being loving ones. If her last memory of her had been their argument, it would have been even worse.
