Kawai Eri's 2nd memorial album, Himawari is out.
Cover done especially by you know who. Features much of her work from Aria, as well as a new version of Undine and her rendition of Lumis Eterne. Listening to the vocal version of Barcarole for the x-th time now nearly brings me to tears; I can't get over how hauntingly beautiful her voice is |

Such a beautiful album cover. I'm a huge fan and shall always be of Kawai Eri, so i was planning to buy this (along with the first one that i need to order). Even if i didn't know who she was, i'd still have to just for that album cover.

Manly tear mode on
That last Eri Kawai's album made me weep a lot. To hear the live soundtracks made me feel back in the old days where Aria did not end yet or Eri Kawai was alive Part of the benefit of this album will to the WWF Japan. |

I finished up "Origination" a couple weeks ago. I watched the last four episodes earlier today just to feel that wonderful series of closing events once again. And then I had to go back and watch the last episode one more time. I'm hesitant to label just one anime as a favorite, but this one touches and moves me like no other.
For some reason, as much as I love this series, I was in no hurry to get through all of the seasons. I'm just kinda' weird that way, I suppose. There's a lot of anime I've been trying to catch up on and ARIA was something I took in little doses, here and there. Savoring it, perhaps... not wanting it to end. But end it has, at least for now. I want more. I've got the manga on order, but there needs to be more than that... for one... very... good... reason. Spoiler for Why we need more ARIA anime:
I love all of the girls in this story, but Akari charmed me absolutely and completely. She had me before the end of the OP in episode one of the first season. If any undine could come close to nudging Akari over a little to make some extra room in my heart, it would be Ai. We need more of Ai. A movie would do nicely. It's like Alice said at the end of Origination, if those girls don't get together again, the world will be destroyed.

yeah, you can't rush through Aria. you'll die. its proven.
no one wants it to end. and when it did, grown men cried. everyone had their favorite undine, but every one was so likable that it didn't really matter in the end. i do however, disagree with the Ai statement. i guess maybe its because she didn't have 50+ eps to wheedle her way into my heart, but i just don't like her. plus we didn't really see the transition state between Akari taking over and when she accepted Ai. there had to have been a lot of mental angst like there was for Alicia, that was cut out and would have made good canon. |
