Yeah, Durian is one of my most favorite fruit. It often describe as a fruit that "smells like hell but taste like heaven". Though in the Philippines, the Durians of Davao is so advertise all throughout... the Wild Durians of Basilan and Sulu are still unmatched!!!

Durian is a common fruit in my country, but I guess in other parts of the world, the smell could be quite a shock. I remember in one episode in Fear Factor, durian was one of the challenge, and the contestants were looking at it disgustingly. I LOLed so hard, because I could have easily won that challenge.

It doesn't help that different plantations sell slightly different breeds of the fruit, some of my friends swear by those from a certain area (cat mountain king or something like that)
