Pretty good episode all things considered, but I have no idea how Kakine somehow ended up less mangled than a victim of face-ripper monkey.

Edit: Wait a minute WHERE ARE THE BLOODY TEARS DSHDFHD

It was a good episode overall that was ruined with the most awful animation so far. Seriously what the hell is going on with that low quality animation, the CG, the backgrounds, literally everything was terrible.

Leaving that aside, the pacing on this episode was decent, we got Fren/da and Mugino getting shit on by Hamazura, then we jumped straight into Accel vs Kakine, now about this fight while it was done pretty fast I expected more screentime since this is an important event, or at least watching how Kakine was completely destroyed with all the bloody parts from the LN. Other than that, so far this third season is way below in terms of quality and pacing when compared to the previous 2.

It was still very rushed but I'm glad they adapted the Kakine/Accelerator fight right.

Wish they made the Mugino/Hamazura feel more impactful though as they didn't meet my expectations there. It seems this arc is over now and they adapted it in a very short amount of episodes.

Oh and Frenda...I knew they had to censor somewhat for this to air on TV.

Still rush
Hamazura vs Mugino end so fast and weird, well still better than other fights

Accel vs Kakine, though
I would say I disappoint. Quality was bad, fight scene was lacking
I was expected some cool battle scene and nothing more, and I disappoint
This should be the moment anime team get wild and show what they got
Since they already bend novel so bad, there are no need to try follow novel here in fight scene
At least they somehow keep some important points in this episode

But seriously, they can use this arc alone for 6-12 episodes of anime
They really in rush aren't they?

PS. This would be the last time Fren/da meme would be use for fun
I kind of regret since I like how she fight in Railgun

It could be worse, but would have been nice for everything to get more time. Considering the length of her fight against Mikoto it would have been nice to not just have Frenda killed offscreen. Although maybe it's better considering how she ended up...Feels like something like Hamazura beating Mugino could have been given more time. This is a level 0 (who actually doesn't have powers) beating a Level 5. Let's do something with that.

At least there was a fight between Accelerator and Kakine, although it did feel somewhat on fast forward. Plus Accelerator really does raise the level of any scene he's in. Even if it's not handled super well.

The season really is like a fast commercial. There's just no time for scenes to sink in and have impact. Last Order getting a berserk Accelerator to stand down should have been given more than a minute or so.

The scenes aren't entirely lacking, but you can feel the impact being lost with how they are going about it. Why are they in such a rush? Can't they just pick 2 or 3 arcs and adapt them well for the third season?

Ah man, that Accelerator theme is so fitting for when he figures Dark Matter out. You know it's over. Surprised by how much I enjoyed this episode and by them actually showing Fren da even as censored as it was.

Dammit, i was hoping the anime would allow Frenda to live.
Oh well, that justs makes Railgun 3 more sadder.
Anyway, love the fight between the Top Level 5s.

My thought exactly
I got my hope up in start of battle, then they cut the battle and show Kakine already lost
...Seriously

Yes, but pretty shot like other scenes
Not enough to ship Uiharu x Kakine, though

Well while some Hamazura scenes got cut at the beginning there, they did more or less handle it fine despite some mild censorship at the end

As for Accelerator vs Kakine though, they adapted that part pretty accurately except for a censorship at the end(limbs not coming off for both fights)
Accelerator vs Kakine was not a long fight, and honestly if they extended it that would’ve ruined the main point(Kakine thought he had a good fight but Accelerator wasn’t taking him seriously at all). Also after taking a look at the LN, he never actually got turned into a bloody mess, it was never detailed in that way, he did however get buried into the ground and messed up(probably more detailed than the anime did it in our imagination though)

Good sir, can you describe it in details ?? The fight scenes were so fast I could hardly understand how Accelerator cracked Kakine's ability.

The Kakine tomato paste scene didn't actually happen, that's probably why.
