Zero I believe escaped earth's gravity on its own.
Freedom was able to keep up with Lacus's rocket-launched shuttle. Strike Freedom is even faster than the Freedom. Destiny is faster than the Strike Freedom (barely!) Each Justice suit matches speed with its corresponding Freedom. Epyon's speed rating is equal to that of the Wing Zero. God gundam + fuunsaiki are also able to escape gravity. Eternal at full speed has the capability to outrun MSes I believe.

Tallgeese is fast. But Zero/Epyon are faster. Why? Go watch the episode where Zechs leaves Tallgeese for Zero. It was clear that Zech's abilities far surpassed that of his Gundam to the point that its reaction time, speed, etc. was becoming too slow for him. But then when he used Zero, he was overwhelmed and felt that it had much more potential than Tallgeese ever had. But yeah, I still agree that V2 is the fastest Gundam of all time. However, how is the Stargazer? That thing pull some records anywhere? |

Stargazer I'm not quite sure...that thing has a few nifty tricks, but I have a feeling that most of it is there for sheer beauty, like its pilot, though certainly having significant marks. I mean it DID come before SFreedom, so....

So can we break it down as to which is the fastest Gundam (the thread says 'Gundams', so I won't bother with MAs or whatever) in each of their respective universes?
UC: Victory 2 Gundam, I still say had the most votes FC: I don't know... God Gundam? AU: Wing Gundam Zero, Epyon AW: Ah, I dunno... I didn't think XX was that fast, so I dunno... CC: Turn A? Phoenix? Are there actual specs anyone can look up? CE: Destiny Gundam, for sure. That's all i'm saying for now since I dunno about Stargazer. |

When Garrod and Palla ran away from the UNE base with the DX+G-Falcon, the Ashtaron caught up with them while carrying the Virsago on its back, and the Frosts only went to the MS hangars after Garrod had already escaped with the Gundam. |

Hey folks,
I think the fastest Gundams are Universal Century wise are the ones with the Minovsky Drives and Wings of Light. That would include the Victory 2 Gundam (It can pull a ridiculous 20 Gs when accelerating) and the Gundam F-99 Record Breaker (Which is soon to appear in Crossbone Gundam, I am not sure if it has a Minovsky Drive though). And yes, the Victory 2 can pull somewhere around 20 G forces while accelerating. I'll dig up the link to the thread on MAHQ sometime. The second place will go to the units with Minovsky Barriers which include the Xi and Penelope Gundam. As for Cosmic Era, I'm pretty sure that the Destiny Gundam just used Mirage Colloid to make it look like it was fast. The units powered with light propulsion Voltaire Lumier such as the Delta Astray and Stargazer are probably faster. Especially since the Stargazer was designed for deep space exploration. The only other thing I think that would come close would be the Regenerate Gundam when it's powered by Genesis Alpha. The fastest Gundam award for After Colony goes to the Epyon I think. I've seen the animation again, again, and again. It always points towards the Epyon being slightly faster than the Wing Zero. Runner up goes the Wing Zero. Fastest Gundam in After War would probably be the Airmaster Burst + G-Falcon, which never got any screentime thanks to the show being cut short. Correct Century would definitely be the Turn-A, it had one insane beam propulsion system build in. It always seemed to be doing circles around the Turn-X as well. Future Century, to be honest I have no clue. Last edited by Johnny Ridden; 2006-10-09 at 14:59. |

I believe so. To be honest, I've only heard about the F-99 going to show up in Crossbone. As to when though, I am not exactly sure. What it is said though is that it is supposedly one of the original designs that predates the Victory 2 with the Wings of Light. I'll go dig up some information and confirm whether it's true or not. (Yeah, I am not one of the most informed Gundam fans out there )
