WIT isn't retweeting it so it's highly unlikely they'll come back for the second season. All that's left for the candidature are either MAPPA or Kafka since director Shuhei Yabuta is a full-time employee for the former.

On second read, this arc was amazing. Should work better in the anime with a weekly release than with the monthly release of the manga.

It's officially MAPPA (isn't everything?), though at least with the same core staff. Supposedly the plan is to adapt the entire manga, though it's not clear if that's supposed to happen in S2 or over multiple seasons.

As long as the core staff is the same, the studio doesn't matter that much. I doubt it's possible to cover the rest of the manga in one season, unless they condense things a lot. I'd say one cour for Farmland, one cour for the arc after that, and one cour for the final arc.
