If you want someone to butcher your stuff i could give a try at that

I personally like the first version the most. The second music note versions are jagged. And onwards the render become darker and darker. Would soften the color or lower it opacity imo. And uhu... at fourth version i thought what was that green/gray spot... After awhile i realise it's a tree

But main thing is the render is getting to dark and should be softer imo.

But that would all be imho And of course i could be really wrong. Though that is how i feel about it. And meh.. it didn't turned out more colorful imo. It turned darker.

With more colorful i think this should be the result.

As you can see, the edges aren't good, it will be cut straight once put on top of the gradiant.
also, i believe it is hardly "sky theme", but rather "spring" instead.

there is nothing wrong with Sakura per se.
rather, the mood and background don't feel sky. you might use CCS differently, there are probably tons of arts which might be associated with Sky.
And if you aren't able to find so, extract a good pose of sakura, and work on it with a Sky BG.

@sephi : be extremely careful with the "inner edge". while the banner itself is good, i think the "lines" from the clouds are too obvious.
this is mainly the same problem as the current "christmas" banner : the "true edges" are fine, but the "inner edge" created by the green background don't work at all.
i think the "edge rule" should be more accurate, since currently, that just mean you just have to "cut" the result at the edge to leave the BG gradient free, which makes no sense at all...
of course, in your case, it isn't too obvious, unlike the christmas one.

Pretty nice, although i feel it is a tad too bright, especially the place where her left hand is supposed to be. You can barely see the fingers

Okay, so I tried doing a relatively quick one just now... and the last time I did a banner must have been last spring or something



Wow, it's 39 KB!... but maybe I should try using other peoples' images instead -_-

It looks too fussy. And I tried to play with the font but it's turned out weird, hasn't it? It's kinda off-balance or something. Should I just go with a different composition or try to tweak this?


...Then again, I just realised it doesn't contain any recognizable anime character in it although it uses the refboarding concept from Eureka 7, so would this be disqualified?

i agree about the blurriness and the whole theme seemes somewhat chaotic and messy ~ may i suggest you have some "defined" clouds to balance out on the blurriness and make them bright ^.^
also the text while creative is a little hard to see ~ i think it would work if you pulled the axis to make the text more horizontal so we can clearly read the "anime" part ^.^

besides that i really love the concept and yay for eureka! green is my favorite colour and it works here ^.^

Not that I think making specific anime's banners is a bad idea, (even if it can't represent everyone's tasts in animes) but please don't start a hellish thread by teasing rep hungry people with banner suggestions.. thanks.
