. Though does seem like in season 3 that they wanted to pull Miku back to a more supportive girlfriend to the hero than anything else. So unless there is a change of heart I'd be surprised for her to get a gear.

Yeah, think we're good on the family drama side of things. Chris has long dealt with her previous anger towards her parents, Tsubasa and her dad are on decent terms, Hibiki's family is fine enough, and Maria/Kirika/Shirabe's only parental figure is dead and buried. We can move on

.

I'd be surprised if we went back to alchemy again. Maybe this time a more purely magical threat? Or even a Symphogear threat with the spread of this technology. Though there is that danger of the cast getting too big if they feel the need to befriend them and not just beat them into the dirt.

I just saw Takagaki's Facebook page for the Symphogear Live 2016 pictures. Some of the outfits are a improvement since the last one and some feels the same or normal. As always, I like Ayahi's and Yuka's outfits. Nana did okay for hers and the same with Nanjo and Ai. Yoko's feels bit the same as last year (despite a change in color) and Nanase's didn't seem to stand out that much.

Anyway, I heard that Nana's/Ayashi's duet song out shined Nanjo's/Ai's. I actually like "Bayonet Charge" better than "Just X-Edge" (no offense). Now we have to wait 6 months til the DVD comes out which sucks.

I think both duets are pretty nice overall. Though I do hope that the next seasons do give more opportunities for that kind of thing. Though the focus in 3 was more on Tsubasa and Maria, Tsubasa and Chris did get a really nice combat duet.

Wonder if we might get more duets or even trio songs in general.

I wonder if there are going to be new gear users in Season 4, it'll be kind of interesting yet hoping characterization doesn't end up being a mess due to it.

considering near the end of s3's final episode Genjiro talks with his brother, Tsubasa's dad about these magical girls whom maybe referring to the new characters, enemies or allies alike, it depends on what their motives is.

I do hope they keep the team relatively the same. I wouldn't be surprised if they add someone like Elfnein to the support side of things, but six gear users is probably the limit they should stay at. Tricky enough to give enough focus to those 6 and then the enemies they'll be facing.

Still the idea of going up against pure magical girls would be kind of funny. If that hint is really where the next season goes that could be interesting.

I believe some people might have misunderstood about "mahou shoujo/magical girls" during or said in the Symphogear GX. The problems occured in GX, they documented it as "mahou shoujo incident", which is of course caused by Carol.

oh, but that was like the most generic sounding document title ever, heck it could refer to anyone including Fiine, Maria, Kirika, & Shirabe when they still go gaga back then, heck our heroes themselves who are Symphogear users.

If they were referring to Carol's incident, how would it relate to Genjuro's response about Europe though?

I'd say they're talking about something unrelated, as a stinger for a potential (at the time) sequel, considering they leave it as that at the end of the episode.

I kind of wonder where we will go character arc wise for the next couple seasons. Be nice if they went more with the season 2 method of having the arcs naturally fit within the narrative and not just forcing it. A lot of it fit nicely from what we had in season 1 from the main cast. Hibiki's health and the hypocrite accusations. It was interesting seeing her really messed up by the idea that she wasn't allowed to fight though physically she could, it would just kill her. Yukine's guilt was really compelling and fed through the season. Tsubasa also fit pretty nicely into the mix.

Spoiler for Some musings:

Guess I just wonder what plot threads they could pick up and run with. Hopefully avoiding the kind of random issues Hibiki had at the start of season 3. I suppose you could go with the route that even if she wants it badly it's tough to piece a family back together again. Have her deal with the idea that she can't always reach the outcome she ideally wants to. Not sure that'd be the ideal arc I'd run with, but all I could think of

At the very least Chris seems like the kind of character you could pull plenty of potential arcs from. Parents murdered when she's a kid, kidnapped by basically slave traders, and raised after that by a crazy ghost priestess

. If there are still aren't issues left to explore there I'm the crazy one. Maybe some element in the next arc pokes at her anger towards those kinds of human traffickers or the torture she dealt with while living with Finé. At the very least she seems like the easiest to pull something from already established events and make an arc with.

Tsubasa....I don't know. I kind of hope they don't carry on with the season 3 stuff since that was some pretty messed up business. Maybe actually have her make the hard choice to prioritize her singing career early on in the series instead of immediately dropping everything to fight. Or maybe go back to the well with Kanade in some respect. Maybe even a concern about losing her next partner (be it Maria or Chris).

Maria....I do think they carried off nicely in season 3 with her finally facing her weakness that was obvious in season 2. Not really sure where I'd like them to go with her. Maybe some conflict involving the data Ver passed onto her at the end of season 3? The fact that her identity as a gear user is public knowledge and the whole UN cover story issue.

Kirika, almost be nice if they didn't make her arc entirely intertwined with Shirabe but probably a bit much to ask. I suppose you could pick up some more on the idea that Kirika thinks so much about Shirabe that she can make bad decisions. Or the recklessness that she nearly killed herself in season 2 with her own swan song weapon.

And Shirabe...I don't know. They deal with her recklessness in throwing herself in front of enemy attacks in season 3. Could be nice to just go with a plot focused arc like in 2. Did like her making the move to fight the noise on the aircraft carriers because she knew Maria was going against her own wishes and that lead to her ending up with the main cast and fighting Kirika.

Just randomly felt like thinking about where they might go with the characters this season.

I just finished watching Symphogear 2016 Live. I'm glad there no game corner and plus much more songs were sung. It isn't surprising for Nana and Ayahi to sing 2-3 songs continuously, but they are pros at it. I'm actually surprised that Yoshino and Ai ALSO 2-3 songs continuously (including the duets). There is a lot more duet songs which are very enjoyable. Everyone (except for Inori) sang duets as of now. Makes you think of other duets in store for S4 and S5.

An entertaining event to watch. Full credit to the performers. Think including the duets you had Yoshino and Ai singing about 4 songs straight. That's quite the effort required even if you give them a minute or two to chat with the audience between some songs.

Interesting what could have been with Inori Minase talking about her previous efforts to audition for a role in the series. Originally attempting for Hibiki's role. Certainly made an impact when she did get onboard since Carol's songs were some of the best that third season.

Wouldn't be surprised at all to see more duets in S4 and S5. Think they saw the success of Kirika and Shirabe in S2 and tried a bit more in S3. We're likely to get another Tsubasa and Maria song in S4, of course more Kirika/Shirabe duets, likely Chris and Tsubasa again, etc. Really, just depends on how far they want to go. Plenty of pairs or trios that would make sense.

From the build up last season I could see a trio song with Chris, Kirika, and Shirabe being a thing.

Expectations for more fan art like that is definitely realistic

. The shipping you can get through the art is definitely nice to see. Heck just more "anything with Chris" is fine by me

In terms of the musical duets, I'm curious to see what pairs we'll see. I expect another Maria/Tsubasa concert and I hope for another combat duet with Chris and Tsubasa.

While I don't expect a combat duet (though it could happen), we'll certainly get another regular duet with Hibiki and Miku.

I think it's fine either way. Can still be a good character even if she doesn't fight, but can do well if she does. Agree that it doesn't seem like they want to go that route though.

I'm actually okay if she doesn't become a Gear User again, and stays as Hibiki's supporter and good friend. But I do kinda want her to be active too, like taking up nurse training or helping to evacuate people like in S1 again, being supportive from the sidelines in her own way.

I also kind of want them to get into the Custodians again, maybe not this season, but season 5 at least.

If both Season 4 and Season 5 have bet said to of being make at the same time. Does this mean that the plot of Season 4 and Season 5 could be deeply connected like 2 part of the same storyline which by the end of season 4 we will only be halfway?

It must be really hard for VAs to sing in their characters voice. Aoi and Ayashi are the only few that did haven't alter their voice that much when they sing their character's songs. Nanjo and Kayano probably have the hardest time to sing in their character's voice. Inori didn't have too change her voice for her character's song cuz Carol's voice IS her actual voice.
