My Oolong tea is ready!
Never understood why the drinking parts are in the way of adapting this. Just put a signal in the beginning of each episode that this is fiction, the legal drinking age is 20 or something, and don't do this at home, kids! |

To be fair, Grand Blue is pretty much intended to be a ship tease, which is fine with me, because I got this impression early on, so I didn't expect something else. It's like D-Frag!, Dagashi Kashi, KonoBi etc., where the reader can only expect serious romance development/resolution at the end, or never, and should read it for the comedy. Granted, I didn't read Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu from the same author, but from what I heard about the ending, it's more or less confirms my suspicion.

Summer 2018. Staff: Director/Screenplay/Sound Director: Shinji Takamatsu (Gintama, Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou, Sakamoto desu ga?, Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu LOVE!, School Rumble, etc) Character Design: Hideoki Kusama (Battery) Studio: Zero-G Just WHY? Why Zero-G for this show? To sum things up, "they got the best director and the worst studio to work on this adaptation".
