A few more details in the above link:

Zouroku is the name of the old man, and he apparently is a bit of an old codger who dislikes interruptions in his daily life.

Also, there are also other young girls who are test subjects and under lock and key and observation, and their abilities are called "Alice's Dream", after the Alice in Wonderland books. The lead female MC is named Sana, it seems, and she is the most powerful of the girls abilities wise.

Finally, the series is based on an award-winning manga that began in late 2012, and as of this post is up to 31 chapters or so (the ANN link has a link to the manga proper) and 7 volumes.

Akio Ohtsuka as Zouroku Kashimura

Katsushi Sakurabi (Flying Witch, Lostorage incited WIXOSS, Heaven's Memo Pad) is directing the anime at J.C. Staff.
Fumihiko Takyama (Yomigaeru Sora - RESCUE WINGS, Sword of the Stranger, Sweet Blue Flowers) is supervising the series' scripts.
The pair previously worked together on the Gunparade March anime.
Kazunori Iwakura (Ai Yori Aoshi, Aria the Scarlet Ammo, Sky Girls) is drawing the character designs for animation.
TO-MAS (Flip Flappers) is handling the music.

****

Summary: "A group of young girls possess a mysterious power known as "Alice's Dream," which gives them the ability to turn their thoughts into reality. Detained and experimented upon, these youths are locked away in secret until one of them manages to escape. Her name is Sana—a girl with the power to ignore the very laws of physics. When this willful powerhouse crosses paths with a stubborn old man named Zouroku, his carefully-ordered life will never be the same again!"

I tell ya - the staff looks good in my book. This is definitely climbing up there for one of the more anticipated series of next season for me. ^^

Animation seems a little clunky. There's manga called Inuyashiki with an old guy as a main character. I don't like old people, but I really like this guy. I'm watching raws but he's a badass.

Liked the newer preview than the old one, but good lord that CG is bad! Haven't even watched the show and that took right out of that chase scene.

This feels like a modern Rosen Maiden though in some way though.

Episode 1:

Hmm, I think the first episode was interesting. The CGI car stuff was distracting but besides that, I think the show built itself with its world setting in a way that I found pretty curious.

Surprisingly good soundtrack so far.

From the character cast, they introduced Sana, Zouroku, Hinagiri twins, etc. There's a feel of mystery in the air as well especially with Sana. I'm curious to know about her more. Between Zouroku and Sana, I like their character chemistry so far. In general, I think the first episode (44+ minutes) set up the story well. I'm interested to see more.

Other than that, though, good first episode. I could do without the silly antics by the girls, but otherwise this feels like something that would've been made ten years ago.

Episode 1 was really good in terms of balance between the cute and nice moments with Sana and Zouroku and the fights. The soundtrack is ... average, expecting something more.

The animation is in general decent but jesus christ that awful CGI was disgusting, how the hell they ruined that so hard.

That being said I think Zouroku is an interesting character that adds some sort of mystery and maturity while Sana acts like a kid most of the time, is still something weird about her, looking forward to see more about this series.

Some of the scenes don't transition well either. Like when that girl summoned a gate and then we cut to a spear stabbing the giant hand.

That's the usual JCStaff quality, at least this isn't really full of disgusting animations.

Have to agree the CG car stuff was just horrible plasticky nonsense, I even spotted scenes where the car was moving but they'd forgotten to animate the wheels turning!

Which is kind of a shame as the rest of the show seemed to have some promise. Particularly liked the old guy's "I'm not putting up with your shenanigans" demeanour.

Yes, it does seem like something that could have been made ten years ago, but I'm not holding that against it so far.

Just finished watching.

Pros
-I like the chemistry between the Ojisan and the Loli.
-The general direction isn't bad and the animation while not amazing is pretty decent.
-OST is pretty nice

Cons
-Can't really be overstated how eye gouging bad the CG is. It doesn't help that is around 5-6 minutes ugggh.
-Scene transitions as mentioned by nakato are little awkward sometimes.

Got some good potential to be a pretty good series at the very least it's got my interest enough to give it 2 more episodes. But please less CG I'd gonna be this bad.

Bad CG aside, it was a good first episode and this shows potential.

Not really feeling this after the first episode. There were several things that kept interfering with my enjoyment.
- The "evil corporation with government ties who kidnaps children for experiments" is getting to be a very tired story line. Hopefully the writing team has some fresh ideas to add.
- The CG was bad as others have mentioned already. Honestly, the car scenes looked almost incompetent. Please learn your craft before starting on a paid project.
- The character designs seemed inconsistent for some reason. As if there were more than one design team for the characters.
- The haughty loli character type needs to die, now. Maybe she will quickly tone that down.

BTW: Anyone want to bet that the old man is more than just a florist?

Ep 01

Hafta agree about the clunky cgi animation, but it was not able to yank me out of enjoying the narrative, so on the whole I thought it rather good. I also think it has potential. Will definitely give the next episode a try.

Ah ... the ED (?) song was great, as expected - same folks that did the Flip Flappers ED, though,so maybe no surprise. ^^
