Hi there!

I wonder how long Goodell's reign as commissioner will last from this point on...... He made things tougher on him than need be, especially when the "evidence" appeared to be circumstantial than substantial.

It's a huge credibility blow, but it won't be enough to oust him.

True, but there other elements that are also working against him. The most recent one would be the lock-out with the refs. It's been a tough year for him, but he himself didn't help his cause either.

I don't see this temporary relief as even anything against the evidence at hand. From my understanding of their verdict, they basically said that this case involves two sections of the CBA. One gives Goodell power (which is what he thought both did), and one gives the power to the court. So the court used its power to let the players play until they actually pass judgment on the evidence at hand. Said evidence hasn't actually been ruled on yet.

Well USC won yesterday.
I wonder if they will reclaim first place in rankings?
And only a few hours before a sunday full of NFL Football.

Some of the evidence that were turned in to court by NFL seemed to be circumstantial at best from the comment made by the judge. I highly doubt Goodell actually has any evidence as of yet which would show these hits were carried out because these players were getting paid to injure other players. And as far as I understand, if the evidence can only prove pay-for-performance, then Goodell cannot suspend these players as punishment under the current CBA agreement. So yeah, like Kyuu said, his credibility takes a blow.. Let's not also forget that Vilma still has that other civil lawsuit where he is suing Goodell for defamation, so sooner or later Goodell will need to show that Vilma took money to injure players.

Only if Vilma can prove that Goodell willfully defamed him with malice aforethought. It's not on the defendant to prove his innocence until the one suing him can prove his guilt.

Looks like SuperQuarterback is having a good start against The Saints.

The skins are really taking it to the Saints right now. Some good play out of rg3 and the redskins defensive backs. As for all the other games not too surprising aside from how good the Jets are doing. Then again they are taking on the Bills.

My Eagles are not wowing me too much thus far, but they haven't been making a whole lot of mistakes so hopefully just a slow start for the offense.

RGIII, #10, has led the Skins to score 10 points in each of the four quarters. That's... awesome.

Man...what an ugly-ass win for the Igglez. Barely won a game against a QB with his rating in the single digits. A truly pathetic display. Andy better run the ball next week more or else.

Niners just scored! It's a Alex Smith to Randy Moss TD for the score! Niners up 10-0!

Wow, how was that not unsportsmanlike conduct on the 49ers? Pushes Finley after the play, grabs his leg and flips him onto the ground long after it, and then steps on his ankle?

You aint a kidding. 4 INTs don't make me feel any better about Vick this year.

The stepping on the foot looked like an accident, and Finley kind of provoked the flip by walking right into Cox's head.
