I am probably one among the few who do not like this episode.

It is not bad, i admit, and it was still interesting till half-way, but as it get to 2nd half, i just hope it will soon be finished. I seriously don't get the Sony's joke. I also don't believe Nagi would hold such grudge over a Dvd (she will, but not by hiding in a closet). Originally i thought Jin cut her hair because some stick out. Or accidentally break her hairband (which makes her hair looks messy without it). I means why she have to hide if it was not because of her looks.

I bet they tried to trick audiences to fantasize that Jin did something pervert to Nagi. Oh wait, it's too obvious i guess.

PS: i don't want to admit this, but for me, Kannagi is losing some rating after last 2 Eps. Now i hopes Ep 8 would bring it back to expectation

Heh, when Jin first mention that Nagi was in the bath when "the incident" occured, I just assumed that Jin walked in on her nekkid. Which meant the real reason was a huge let-down, because I had NO idea how Akiba would solve that problem, and was looking forward to some crashing-and-burning.

No I agree, it was a stupid filler episode, the sort that a TV series might do when the main actress is off sick so they have to pretend she's hiding in a cupboard. Having said that I enjoyed the Zange and Tsugumi interactions as Zange kept seducing Jin, I'm glad the omelette girl is getting more air time, she's so cute when she's flustered.

I pretty much enjoyed the episode as much as everyone else. For a filler episode it certainly was creative in using such a common and uninteresting scenario. I mean what Jin did could have happened to anyone...and certainly did to me more than a dozen times. Back then it did seem like a big disaster but watching this just made me laugh at the good o' days

But what really made the episode for me has to be the voice acting from the characters and the comical lines. I especially loved the way Takako said "too-shy-shy-girl" to Tsugumi...brilliant voice XD

I don't see what's wrong with an episode that lets us relax and have plenty of fun with the cast as usual.

Very funny episode, only thing I didn't like was Nagi's reason for locking herself in the closet with her handy-dandy lolstick and stuff. I assumed that she and Jin got into a quarrel and Jin went too far by calling her flat-chested. I believed this due to her comments on Jin's naughty books.

I would never have guessed this was anime original material, as it suited the mood of the series as a whole perfectly. If that was filler, I'll take filler any day - another cleverly written and beautifully animated episode. While no great cataclysmic events occurred, another layer of the Jin/Nagi onion was artfully peeled away and all of the supporting cast (especially "Too Shy-Shy Girl") had winning cameos.

That was like 65 million years ago. I believe it is much older than 3'5" floppies or even before I was born.

And besides I read around about Nagi's questionable virginity and the mad fanboy who destroyed his collection. I was interested to ask if anyone else did that kind of stuff to their collections, or would do so.

But think about it. A 'grown man' destroying his own collection ($$) because a character in the story who has already stated early on they had a previous "someone they liked" (which means serious in any setting) and because that someone now appears in the story --- he calls her "second hand goods" and has a tantrum.

Its infantile at best, smells of misogyny, and is indicative of the emotional and social state of a person who would do that.

Probably the nastiest I've ever felt in a similar situation is when I decided Lucas was wrecking any pretensions Star Wars had of being 'mythologically compelling". I sold my stuff, gave it to kids, ebay'd it because it ceased to have emotional value to me. This was "serious business" because I credited the original Star Wars movie (back in the late 70s) with being a major motivator for my youngest brother (12yrs old at the time) to live an extra year (a genetic disorder was killing him). He must have seen Star Wars 100+ times that summer in the late 70s. The local theatre stopped charging him once they got to know him. So I had a lot of emotional attachment to the franchise and plenty of excuse to be irrational --- but no I didn't have a bonfire or throw things against the wall.

As far as anime series go, there was one eroge series I'd gotten very interested in to the point of buying most of the figures, the CDs, the game, etc. before the series was halfway done. Then the series just basically went to hell from a structural and transitional perspective (not because of "which girl was chosen" -- just the lamity of the melodramatic way they got there). Did I burn all my stuff? Pbffft. I'm selling the merchandise to those who liked the series nonetheless.

I think that statement I put in bold is too broad of a conclusion. People in stories lie about having interest in another person for a number of reasons... make someone jealous, dismiss someone's advances etc. In Nagi's case, she's a calculating liar and has no qualms about deceiving someone for whatever reason suits her. Without knowing anything at all about her story or background, it's not so hard to think that what she said may have been a ruse for Tsugumi's sake.

Now, with the spoilers people have been splattering about, it looks like maybe there is someone. Whatever... we'll see what happens. The thing foremost in my mind is, Jin didn't like it when she was getting pictures taken, I wonder how that will affect him if the "someone she likes" comes into the story. I'm feeling bad for him already, if that's the case.

Heard some guys burned his whole collection of School Rumble because the mangaka pull the stupid reset ending.

In this case it's understandable, because several months past and i am still boiled with rage. I ended up make my own ending btw
