Seems that I'll have to get a Mavis avatar soon - I like chibi Erza n all but... XDD

I love how they threw in the extra omake in there, and of course, tying it in with current events. Yet another reason why I like Fairy Tail - the open dynamic of the world and the characters makes it easy to tie in things. Time to watch Mavis in action again.

The Grand Magic Games have finally begun.
First game "Hidden" was really interesting.
This game of hide and seek really gave a new meaning to the original game.
It sounded easy, but it really wasn't.
Very complex and intriguing game which needed serious skills.
Eve was definitely smart and used a good tactic, but Rufus was just amazing!

BTW in the preview I saw Flare's hair catch on fire, as a weapon. Does that happen in the manga too? So is her magic like a mix of fire and hair?

It was unclear in the manga whether her hair was on fire, although I have to admit, it didn't appear that way. It would make more sense with a name like "Flare" though.

Anyway, episode went the way the manga did; But I'm looking forward to Lucy's fight coming up. I felt it was one of her best, and simultaneously one of her worst fights.

*chuckles* I know what you mean. I'm curious to see what the Lucy fans across the Net will say once they see this episode and if they'll have the same feelings I did when I saw the manga. At the very least, I hope they animate it well - it deserves that much. If it makes me have the same feelings I felt the first time, the anime did its job well.

I can see the fun in the games being held, it's a good competition designed to push yourself but not in a life-or-death situation. It's good because I love competitions like that. Unfortunately, there's an entire team dedicated to trolling Fairy Tail so it's not easy for it to remain 'fun'.

. Series is not lacking in attractive female characters. Just off the top of my head you have a nice top class with Lucy, Erza, Juvia, Mirajane, and Lisanna. Levy is cute in her own right and Wendy is the cute loli

. That's even forgetting characters like Cana.

Despite the constant failures of seduction plans, I'd probably give the nod to Lucy. Though obviously compelling arguments can be made for others

Ok now I'm really curious to see this fight. I mean I'm really not sure what to think with this being one of her best and worst fights. Doesn't sound like it'll be something pleasant though to be fair Lucy isn't exactly new to getting beat on in her fights. Things didn't look good against Angel, got brutally crushed by Kain, etc. Though I suppose worst could relate to how she performs and less about how much damage she takes.

Still, surprised that Lucy is first out of the gate for the battle portion. Hopefully with that boost she can use more keys without getting tired, but also use them intelligently. But, I think Lucy has done nothing but improve over the course of the series so this should be interesting. Of course all depending on how dirty Raven Tail plays this, not exactly a trustworthy bunch...

I was glad Natsu saved Asuka and allowed Lucy to fight back, but how do they not get caught for cheating like that. If its like this next time i don't think i can watch cause i'm so angry right now. Well looks like Jellal vs Jura next time, will be a good match. So Zeref is behind the magic that Jellal was talking about. This is untold times more frustrating than what happened to Gray. Seriously forget the whole tournament thing. If we spend the rest of the episodes beating the crap out of Raven Tail I'll leave satisfied. The ambush on Wendy, constant harass on Gray, and now this. They've certainly done a good job making me hate these guys more than any other force they've gone up against. This really does piss you off though. It was certainly the most amazing fight we've seen from Lucy in the series so far. She was just all over Flare going toe-to-toe with her. She totally would have won the match too if she'd been able to cleanly attack. It certainly is a fitting description to call it her best and worst fight. She was at her best out there, but lost because of cheap tactics and outright cheating. Almost don't care about the Jellal vs. Jura match. I mean how are you supposed to get engaged after this? You could toss the Zeref stuff out the window. All I want is them to throw Laxus into a fight and have him accidentally Fairy Law the entirety of Raven Tail. Ok....good job Natsu saving the day. Though why the heck Warren didn't ask Lucy what was up with his damn telepathy is beyond me! At least Lucy got to go all out and she really did her best. Of course the worst parts were outright frustrating. But still, good job Lucy. I need to watch a comedy or something. Just really wanting to see Raven Tail get destroyed right now. __________________ Anime-Evo
