Spoiler for latest railgun chapter:

Things continue to look very grim for Mikoto as Frenda once again turns the tables on her using gas.

Mikoto's starting to look the worse for wear, though she still has a long way to go before she can match up to Touma's "how is he still standing" punching bag status from a few of the arcs.

oh, and the cover page is a lovely picture of ITEM this time.

Forgive me any inaccuracies, as I only had a change to glance through it quickly.

Spoiler for new chapter:

Basically, Frenda booby trapped the entire floor where she led her, but Mikoto literally tears the entire floor apart.

Frenda knocks out Mikoto's sight and hearing with a flashbomb, then targets the disoriented Mikoto with some small rockets. Mikoto is still able to sense them through her power, so she manages to avoid being killed, though she isn't unscathed.

Frenda brings out her trump card, an explosive gas that will basically wipe everything out if Mikoto so much as makes a spark. This more or less seals Mikoto's abilities.

Frenda's bluff about the gas is exposed when she gets too confident in her victory and makes an offhand remark that infuriated Mikoto by reminding her of her Sisters' unwillingness to try to save their own lives.

The enraged Mikoto counterattacks.

Holy &%$#! If the anime starts covering this part of the story, it will be complete awesome!

I have read the entire manga up to chapter 26 and watched all the anime episodes out thus far. It seems the manga is sort of a compressed version of the anime. Thus if my calculations are correct and compensating for anime original material offsets, the latest story line in the manga should get anime coverage withen the next 3 episodes.

...inevitable that the end of the story will lead to Touma's involvement at the end of this series as shown in the Index anime and thus this is the presumed end point for the anime at least. Thus the anime will then terminate with the connection to the Index Anime. Though the manga may go beyond this as it is not in theory limited to 24 or so episodes like the anime is.

There may be further adventures for Mikoto after this. I haven't read the novels mind you, so I don't know how much more RailGun has in store for us.

Maybe, but for now there is only the manga and a mininovel who come with the Index DVD/BDs, Railgun doesn't have a light novel.

but in vol 8 it can be consider a railgun material just like vol 3 where the star is about mikoto but in vol 8 its about kuroko.

Saia doesn't really wear any garments below other than underwear or a toooooo little shorts.
Like always mugino shows the oh sexy aura and frenda is cute as always and saia never failed to show her legs and the other one that I can't seem to remember her name is plain as ever. Everyone on ITEM has their own charms that balance each other.

But this volumen involves:
-Tree Diagram, which was destroyed by a certain magical freeloader.
-The guide to the evil lair of the guy who was never mentioned in railgun.

I want to see how is going to react Mikoto when Saiai show her powers which are somehow similar to Accelerator's.

If I remember it right Saia's ability is nitrogen armor or is it hydrogen. Its practically a weak version and its not like she can control vectors. Plus she might know accelerator's ability and have already seen his face but even so how can she just deduce from that the similarities from the two?
