And what's TO got to make them trustworthy? Heck, sheer inertia meant they had to still have quite a few requests at the beginning. Which they didn't fulfil, so they went elsewhere.

That's the crux of it: if they perform, more jobs will come, with or without "core members". If they don't perform, they'll get fewer opportunities and have less money. The results show they didn't perform.

The news of losing all of their strongests members and the master would have made the local people think that only the less competent members were left. This would have damaged FT's reputation and it will probably cause people not giving FT any big jobs. Not getting any big jobs also means that the reputation of the guild will not increase.

Maybe he can forcefully convert his fire into lighting, but at a very high cost? I'm a little cofused about that.

Y'know while I don't like Makarov STILL being both alive and the master of fairy tail, the whole exchange between him and gildartz in this chapter was hilarious enough for me to ignore that little grievance.

Yea I to have to agree, I would have liked to see a new master but it was prefft damn funny.
The fact we're now at 6th master of FT is worth a good chuckle

Hopefully they ditch this idea quick. Max can easily be explained just by saying Natsu doesn't try hard against his teammates (which we already knew), or by saying Max improved a lot more than most of the old weaklings.

From the context it sounded to me like it was weaker. Plus it looked weaker.

Mira's the master's hot secretary, if she becomes master, then Lucy would have to fill her spot...plus she's the bartender, can't have her going out on council meetings and leaving the guild bar :O

Natsu is not restricted to fire magic. He can use any magic, it's just a matter of learning how. So he does not need to convert his fire into anything to use other magics.

In this particular case, it seems that after having lightning forcibly added to his attacks, he remembered how it felt (so to speak) well enough to try and duplicate it on his own. Basically, Laxus's magic modified Natsu's fire until it ran out, now Natsu is trying out the same modification on his own. Unfortunately for Natsu, while it's higher damage, it's also higher energy cost, and he doesn't have Laxus's additional power to draw upon.

Can't say for sure until a raw comes about, but probably the one about it being weaker given that Natsu would not be complaining about it being the same strength.

If that was possible, every person Natsu's hit with an attack would be a Dragonslayer. The things you're saying have never been shown in the manga and really make no sense. Not only do you have to learn a magic but Dragonsalyer magic can only be taught by a Dragon.

Let's just try and forget about this Natsu is weak nonsense. First FT was always powerful, but it was never portrayed as invincible; meaning they can lose or get beaten too, it's normal! Second, we can be sure Hiro won't even roll with it anyway and it was all just a fancy excuse to start the arc. So all this talk is useless...
