Perhaps, or he isn't quite ready to cross the line yet. Given how Tsumiki is like, I don't think Io would be able to survive his energy being sapped on a daily basis.....

I really really enjoy this show. Great humour of various kinds, but the slapstick is often in laugh-out-loud territory. The "Fly Fishing with Mayoi" scene in ep7 was a great take on an old comic turn. And Io and Tsumiki are totally lovable both separately and together. Bring on the doujinshis, lol.

How can a group of students afford Mugi size vila?

Lots of Io x Tsumiki moments this episode. I like the part where Io sleeping on Tsumiki's lap.

Poor Sakaki and Mayoi, they get abused every episode as we lol at them.

Hime sent Mayoi flying is new.

The hints for that are all over this episode. I think, at the very least, Io has a very strong suspicion of what's going on, and is just waiting for Tsumiki to make the first move. Once Tsumiki get's around to confessing....

It helps greatly of course, that their mutual friends are doing their best to ship them together.

That's why he's probably waiting for Tsumiki to make the first move. Unless Tsumiki does so, she's never going to be able to overcome that embarrassment she has when she's with him- which leads to all those insane and highly comedic over-reactions.

I think that all those hints Io's been dropping is a signal that Io will reciprocrate. Once Tsumiki get's over the kind of impulses that leads to things like biting Io's head.

Wait, people actually think Io will be the passive one in the relationship. Given how smooth he is as a single person, what makes you think he'll be any less of a lady killer when he gets serious with a girl?

No, I'm saying that the possible problem of having a relationship with Tsumiki (basically, being drained of life every day from a rather carnivorous Tsumiki) might be a factor in Io not being as aggressive as he could be.

Well I'm not so sure. Io has proven enough in terms of being pretty tough in his own right. Had some supernatural speed in dodging those snowballs after all. Though I suppose it doesn't guarantee his durability

- Leaves the train to get snacks. Gets back before it leaves.
- Creams Mayoi for the pregnancy joke.
- Catches the parachute firework.

Speculation: Episode 7 takes place in an alternate universe.
Further speculation: In all possible universes, Sakaki and Mayoi's primary purpose is to experience instances of blunt force trauma and/or immolation.

Mayoi and Tsumiki had two wonderful gags combining Mayoi's propensity for mischief with Tsumiki's superhuman strength. The first being Tsumiki casting her line and tossing Mayoi into the water, the second being the old obi gag that ended with Mayoi faceplanting into the wall. A fairly simple mountain trip episode, but, like every episode of this series, the interactions between the characters turned it into something special. I know that Io/Tsumiki is the central focus of the show, but it's the greater focus on friendship that makes this show stand out. There's just as many comedic moments between Io and Sakaki and Mayoi, Hime and Tsumiki as there are interactions between each other. Hime may not have Tsumiki's strength, but she can still pack a punch when she needs to. Throwing Mayoi clear out the door just for touching her stomach was great. Sakaki being a living fireworks magnet did get funnier as it went along. For a guy who's constantly put up to misfortune, Sakaki remains a great foil to Io. Like I said, the five-way interaction is crucial to understanding what's making this show click, and this week is no exception. Tsumiki may be a cute cat, but she can turn feral. Everyone can be used for a gag or to be the tsukkomi. Maybe that's the key to Kirara's works' success.
