I'm not talking about the first encounter....that is fully understandable...they didnt know the situation at all, and were still in a state of schock...but the second time...i wouldd think they know what to do, and the state of shock is prettymuch over, i liked Katou in this ep, he was resolute in his dicisions, but everyone else was just wimping out, bunch of losers, and they just let him fight alone.

I'm guessing the slowness is somewhat due to manga-to-anime transition as well.

By the way, in the mission where the manga scanslation is now, there is a 'warrior' type group: a sniper, a karate guy, Lara Croft etc..

Aw man episode 10 was great. I was so happy when the grandma and kid died becuase they were annoying the shit out of me. I can't wait for episode 11, I want to know how the main hero deals with the big alien hancho.

Can't stand this show sometimes. Just when i thought it's pretty good, then the whole casts' stupidity just pisses me off. Everyone is like "what do i do?" or "what should i do?". Duh.. got a freaking gun in the hand, use it. First mission, I could understand it was shock, 2nd time was just slowmindedness, dumb, idiotic and mendicant (wait..scratch the last one). Bunch of indecisive whiners.

And good closing for the first stage too. I think they learnt alot from this mission.

Just read Gantz manga English translation up to chapter 89 (all hails to shocwave ) and I've got to say that the 3rd stage is FREAKIIIIIIIIIIING AWESOME. If anyone here looking for action series, u gonna be sooooooo satisfied.

well there's a military dude get transported in mission 3 (the one after the birdman mission) and he indeed kicks some serious ass... too bad the enemy in the 3rd mission also kicks some serious ass...

And in the newest chapter (which is mission 5 I think), there are quite some major ass-kicking characters. so later in the manga those guys feels not nearly as annoying as some in the early chapters.

Yeah, just read through the 3rd stage myself and wow, it makes the previous ones seem like a walk in the park.

Poor Katou, was sooo close, thought he would live. His suit broke and everything and his determination to survive kept him going only to get stabbed like a punk. That boss was insane, I don't know how they are going to top it. I mean it had knives, lazers, acid AND the ability to regenerate!? And then it ate the guys brain so it could communicate, crazy! I wanted Lara to live too, bleh don't like how the boss seems almost dead and then kills off another character. Oh, well hope some of the next batch of characters actually survive awhile. Was rooting for the sniper too, he should of stuck with sniping instead of trying to wrestle the boss with no suit on lol.

If you have read up to 0164, you would have notice that the new current arc might have been planned out way before hand by the mangaka,

I only noticed the joints thing recently when I was rereading the manga.

Episode 11 is the end of season 1 Gantz TV (1st stage). Not sure what's the plan yet with the 2nd stage. The uncensored DVDs are coming out on schedule tho.

Is it me or 11 eps a little odd? Will they fill in ep 12/13 with OVAs? most seasons are typically 12-13 eps.
