I like how the text for the band's name almost looks as if it was on the building behind them. That's kind of neato. And Arika is as age-defying as ever. Come September she'll be 47. I hope I can manage to look that good at that age.

To be fair I'm sure a lot of it has to do with make-up. I mean I know people who are in their early twenties but they look like they've hit menopause already.

Does anyone know what that poem is that Togame recites near the end of ep 8?

At least I assumed it was a poem from the way the subs put it in quotes.
It was translated as:

"When the eastern wind blows, let out your scent.
Plum flower without a master, don't forget Spring."

Does anyone know if it is part of a larger work?

I really liked the ending song. I was afraid it'd be a slow song for some reason. I'm happy that it had sad yet upbeat sound to it. The vocals matched it nicely, too. Very fitting for the episode. :3

I love the Opening's visuals, hate the song. Actually it's not that I hate it, it's just that I feel like I've heard that song a hundred times already. More variety would be nice, Ali Project.

The episode itself was pretty good. Shichika and Togame's interaction are as enjoyable and sweet as ever, and we were shown just how much Shichika has grown as human over the course of the series. The last deviant blade is a gun, huh, I should have seen that one coming.

What's up with that shot of Nanami in the OP (Daniel Lind's new avatar)? Actually, that's not even Nanami, is it? She looks an awful lot a like her but there are some differences (the eyes, for one). Don't spoil me

PS: Hiteihime is a bitch. Tomatsu Haruka is doing a great job voicing her though.

8 was pretty good.

I really liked the conversations in the first half. Also seems the two got a lot closer after the event with Nanami.

Also Togame's boobs seem alot more defined now that she has short hair.

What character is written on the mask of Priness Hitei's servant?
Also, pretty interested in those guns which seem to also be one of the legendary 'swords'

This episode was great, possible one of the best of the series both the dialogue, scheming, and action were all well done this episode watching Shichika fight the doll/sword was very impressive, the animators did well there. I enjoyed Togame and Hiteihime "greetings", and when Emonzaemon's talk and fight with the Ninja was interesting too.

I loved this episode's ED theme, "Mechanical Sleeptalk" - nomico; really a great song.

Yea I agree with you on OP it sounds and feels similar to their other songs, and when Togame pointed at those two guns, I was like those are obviously one of his swords, and seems I was right on that it seems, still should have seen it coming sooner

Hiteihime and lots of Emonzaemon goodness in this episode, I am really pumped to what happens when Emonzaemon confronts Maniwa Houou to ''assassinate'' him :O

Wow did anybody else notice during the episode Maniwa Houou's left arm was wearing Kawauso's glove? I realized this when watching it the second time.........lol this was a bit random.

Episode 8... meh, weak stuff. Far less humor and the whole macho dudes talking in battles grew too old. And it looks as if the death of his own sister did not affect the lead at all. And the new op is plain uninteresting.

Nah, this anime is officially nothing to bother with a second watch after such a weak continuation of a plot point that was supposed to be emotionally devastating for the characters. Yet another failed series.

But yeah great episode. Does a grand job of developing Shichika, and plenty of foreshadowing for what's to come involving Hitei hime and Emonzaemon. Boy do i love Togame with short hair, plus the teasing Shichika was giving her resulted in such adorable reactions. I approve! Oh and i laughed so hard at the house joke at the beginning of the episode. Do we have an air date for the next episode?
