Thank god. I can't remember when my interest in the story started to wane. Probably after the Aogiri raid, I think. Then so many things that made me go "wha?"....and now we have a Godzilla sized monster. Wherever direction it's going now, it doesn't really feel like it's part of the story that led up to it.

so, that's his plan all along, feeding ken to become a dragon in other to give birth the new rize, i thought that joker didn't give a shit anymore.

New chapter is out. Kaneki is back, at least we didn't have to wait long.

As was already hinted/seen in a previous chapter, humans are turning into ghouls, which is something Arima somehow predicted would happen. The nightmare is just beginning.

Yeah it looked like a zombie apocalypses haha. "There so many patients displaying the same symptoms all at once." "Patients are turning fast" "Random guy opens eyes with a different color."
Then again ghouls and zombies tend to be in the same category but it has been different in this story...until now. i.e. Ghouls aren't mindless. I wonder what Ishida's take on it will be. Or will it be generic? :P Also if everyone becomes ghouls then who will be eaten? I mean eating each other won't be ideal.

Urie's development continues to be one of the highlights of Re. I honestly want to see what happens when he gets the chance to talk with Kaneki.

that would be a hell of a plot twist, kaneki gets turned into a human when everyone else is being turned into a ghoul, OH SHIT.

If anything, Kaneki is more inhuman than anybody else. Only his face remained the same, the rest of his body has completely changed. He may not even be considered a ghoul anymore at this point.

For those that don't know the lady they encountered was in chapter 20 of the original manga. In that chapter she said that there should be no problem with ghouls getting tortured and killed. Boy, did she get hit hard with a dose of irony.
