Just gave the drama cd a listen and the voices were really spot on there. Miyu Irino was exactly as I imagined how Kazuya would sound like as I read the novels and Chiwa Saito surprised me with her approach to Victorique. Koyasu was the perfect Grevil and it's really sad he isn't reprising the role =(. I feel like I spoilt myself with the voices by listening to the drama cd lol. Now I'm gonna be harsher at adjusting myself to the anime cast, though I will have no problem with Aoi Yuuki. The drama story was nice too, though I wonder if it was adapted from one of the later novels/side stories considering that it felt important.
Anticipation building. Time to go re-read the two available English novels while cursing Tokyopop for being incompetent. |

@Mycanid I haven't read the manga, but do you mean that you have it (in Germany that is)? 'm interested in if it covers the first novel events or if focus on it's own independent storyline. TIME TO GO HUNTING KIDS

Just finished watching the episode on Crunchyroll just now. I just fell in love with Bones all over again for making what I consider the perfect sort of adaption. They not only adapted the appropriate amount of events here, but managed to make changes that helped make the narrative flow better, removed parts of the novel I found stupid, and made things all round better while keeping everything else faithful. Madoka might have had the most stylish first episode thus far this season, but Gosick had the most solid one.
Spoiler for Gosick Episode 1: Rozen Maiden:
So overall, this was everything I hoped it would be and more and it deserves a whole 9/10 would've been a 10 had it not been for Kujo's VA, but oh well. Looking forward to what Bones does fro now on with this title She wasn't in this episode, we have to wait tell like episode 4 probably when this arc ends I know right? ^_^ Bones did not disappoint at in the design of the library wither inside or outside it. Ah, she was also in the first novel, but they didn't introduce her yet. They well eventually, but this was another (minor) thing they altered. Spoiler for if you are curious on who she is:

Gosick...I wonder if I spelled it incorrectly and was quoted, will it then be Gosic (sic) Okay, lame joke aside, the episode is something I always wanted from an anime, or any sort of media.
Spoiler for Ep 1:
Oh, btw, I just loved when Victorique was rolling around, anyone mind making an avatar of that? Much appreciated.

Yeah, some Kazuya avatars would be nice, I like his design.
Great episode, this show's going to be just as good as I anticipated. I'm glad this managed to secure a spot as one of the rare shows these days that's a full two cours instead of just one. |

Mysteries and d'awww go well together, I guess. I liked the first episode a lot, as I thought I would, and I have a feeling I'll like the rest of the series as well. I hope the mystery was supposed to be easy this episode though.
I have a feeling Kazuya will have amazing calves by the end of the season. |

I may have missed this, but when exactly is the setting for this? It's obviously not the modern age, what's with the letters and horse carriage, but there's the elevator as well....although it seems to be an old design, when exactly are elevators first invented? I'm guessing this should be around 19th century or something, after the Industrial Revolution...yeah, around the time of Sherlock Holmes and Jane Austen's novels.
