I am planning to pick this up soon, but unfortunately I have only found 14 chapters, and I would finish that very quickly, so I am contemplating whether to start it now or not.

Does anyone know more about this series?

Well, I thought to myself, it's only 14 chapters long, what the hell, so I went ahead and read it, and I am pretty glad I did.

The first 2 chapters reminded me quite a bit of Death Note, but then that feeling goes away after a few chapters.

The story is basically about a boy, who had no friends, and he would write diaries on his cellphone all day long. For a long time now, he has been seeing a god of some sort from time to time, and one day, the god granted him a special cellphone which displays his future diary entries, and along with 11 other people, they basically enter a battle royal game where the last person standing will inherit the god's throne.

It's not as good as Death Note, but then it's hard to compare the two, since they are also quite different. Very interesting read.

Due to unusual and life threatening situation, Yuki (The boy) met up with a girl, who is also a fellow Future Diary Holder(using a cellphone just like Yuki) named Yuna, who happens to be a stalker obsessed with Yuki, in fact her Future Diary records everything Yuki in the immediate future. But through her help, Yuki managed to avoid death when he faced inescapable death known as "DEAD END" through the future diary. As the deadly game of survival continues Yuki and Yuna began to have a relationship.

By far an excellent read. No normal turn psycho turn normal bullshit like Shuffle and Gift. Yuna is 100% psycho since day one, yay! ^_^

As far as I know, there is no english translation for this manga series. You would either have to search for raws or releases in some other languages.

I unexpectedly find some translation of the prologue and half of chapter one on Anime-Source.Com, it's list as level 1 content, so everybody can read it.

I'm not familiar with Anime-Source.Com so I don't know if they would ever change the levels of a given content, but I would check those out while you still can just in case.

And the second half of chapter one's scanlation is complete. Now that I've finished it I'm amazed I didn't immediately notice that Yuno was a psycho bishoujo, I just figured she was the type who liked the mess around with people's heads, but yeah she's totally the type. I read on the A-S forums that she only gets better as the story goes along, so I'm totally looking forward to it. (Yep, I'm a fan of the psycho bishoujo archetype...) Edit: Yuno not Yuna.

What I think I dislike about it is they overemphasize the psycho bishoujo "presence".

Edit: What I think I dislike about it is they overemphasize the psycho bishoujo "presence". Spoiler for Chapter 1: Sure, Yuno has that eyebrow-less wide-eyed thin-smile look about her, but the first time she uses it on Yuki, his face is depicted as covered in sweatdrops, for no real reason other than because he imagined it to be a reaction to what he was thinking. She never outwardly displays anything other than her "pleasant" demeanor, and never says anything that couldn't be interpreted as fine coming from an ordinary high school girl, yet through the chapter Yuki does nothing but react with sweatdrops to her every mannerism. When he thinks she's the serial killer perhaps that could be understood, but once he realizes she isn't, he still totally freaks out when she mentions how his mother won't be home and then when she says she'll protect him. Admittedly, he should know she doesn't have any ordinary set of emotional responses because of the way her calm demeanor doesn't change even in the face of these dangerous situations and she treats Yuki's impending death as something to be casually discussed in the elevator, but still. Is she really such a powerfully psychotic bishoujo that her very aura can inspire giant amounts of sweatdrops on the face of the object of her attention? Seems kinda unrealistic. I await more of Yuno in later chapters of course. Edit: One point I didn't quite understand about chapter 1, by the way. Spoiler for Chapter 1: Yuno's future diary in Yuki's activity every ten minutes, but when she showed it to him it didn't have any information on his dart. Beastmenwarrior Junior Member Join Date: May 2007	i think the reason he is so freaked out is explained in the Prologue Spoiler for prologue: since he has no friends and he just watches people and takes things down in his diary the fact that a girl has an intrest in him and that she is following him around kissed him and told him about here future diary would have put him in a state of shock where he just doesn't know how to handle things, sort of adds a little realizem a loner isn't going to learn people skills in one day flat
