Seems pretty interesting, in a comedic sort of way. Hearing that the fella in charge of Magikano was directing this raised my hopes. I just hope he sticks to comedy, since the "drama" in Magikano was abysmal.

Oh yeah, before anyone asks, "A ninkyo love comedy" is a pun on the term "Ninkyo" which denotes a film that protrays the Yakuza, in pactualr it's protagonist, in a positive light.

Also, it's one leter short of "ningyo", your standard pronounciation of "Mermaid" in japanese.

This was so over the top, it's like the voice actors were given the permission to scream their lungs off if they wished and fotunately, only one of them took the invitation. These voice actors were really having fun. I just couldn't help but join in the laugh. The potential romance in the future also gives hope that perhaps the show isn't angling toward which VA-can-scream-louder contest. It was really sweet when...

Michishio asks for Seto's hand to her father, Seto just looked so cute. Of course, the moment was ruined as soon as Seto's father recovered from the shock.

So yeah, I'm with Srin in hoping things will calm down enough to squeeze in a bit of romance in every episode or so.

I checked out the manga after being piqued by the first episode and OMG! I haven't laughed this hard since "FMP! Fumoffu!" Even if the anime fails to live up to its' source material, I have found something worthwhile to add to my reading collection.

It's another original comedy/romance anime this year. It's rather fast paced, but well layed out. Another good anime to look forward to this year!

San's pop is a hot blood type dumb fond parent, he would rather kill Michishio instead of let San leave him.

Without that component, you just can't made even more gag(Being a teacher to keep his eye on them is quite classic, I suppose.) from it.
