Seeing as this is an anime season of youth prodigies (Yoshida Haru of Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun and Mashiro Shiina of Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo), this story of a child prodigy seems particularly apt: Alma Deutscher, seven, writes an opera

About friggin time, I never get the appeal of the whole thing, it's about as pleasing to the ear (and eye for that matter) as the nyancat on an endless loop.

Why do they build an arms factory in the middle of a city?

Then why isn't it built underground in a collapsing underground bunker to redirect the blast upwards and bring the roof down so as to stifle the oxygen (the workers die a horrible death though, but at least the rest of the city is saved)?

Civil/Military engineering 101 - when you can't afford the time or money to buy the expensive damage-control and fire retarding equipment for your arms factory, at least build it underground with a collapsing structure.

Soldier sacked 72 HOURS before he gets his full pension

Quote:
AN Iraq war veteran was made redundant just 72 HOURS before qualifying for a full Army pension.

Sergeant Lee Nolan will lose out on at least £100,000 after he became one of 20,000 soldiers who are being axed in savage military cuts.

He was so furious at losing his job, his Army home and financial security after risking his life for his country that he sent his six military medals to David Cameron.

Someone, somewhere, must be laughing at the British soldiers' predicament; the situation also reminded me of the severe budget cuts in the early 70s that nearly shut down the entire US military.

Civil/Military engineering 101 if you can afford to spend a shitload of money

Unfortunately, in most cases life is cheaper.
