The laws of Eternity
Hello,
That's my first post here, but I already have a complain : The laws of Eternity is a propaganda movie for a sectarism movement called Happy Science. You can have more information here, for instance : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K%C5%8Dfuku_no_Kagaku It seems they try to get more members by reaching anime fandom. During the last european largest anime convention, Japan Expo in Paris, they leave a lot of flyers for their free japanese courses. Is it OK for animesuki to be a window on the world for such a sectarism movement ? Please, remove The laws of Eternity from your website. Thank you. |

Please don't. I deeply enjoyed the movie and look forward to getting my hands on their two previous movies if possible, despite being fully aware that they represent a competing religion.
I don't see why propagating religion should be inherently worse than anything else we see in anime. Most of us don't suddenly become homosexual by coming across a yaoi anime, nor do we try casting spells after watching one of the many magic anime. Shaman King did not make me a shamanist, nor did I become a Shinto adherent by watching Kannagi. You may want to mark it as religious in some way though, since many young westerners have a strong revulsion for religion. |
