par·o·dy [par-uh-dee]I think an alien catgirl who is physically indistinguishable from a catgirl cosplayer just might fit under the definition of "satirical". o·pin·ion [uh-pin-yuhn]You might also want to reacquaint yourself with this one.

From my perspective, Eris is simply utilizing the anime standard catgirl design, and aliens have been mistaken for cosplayers before, so I just have to question calling it a parody. Comedy is admittedly one of the few things that can get me passionate, but I'll work on going about things differently in the future.

I find this "4 ears" discussion higly amusing. Is it really that strange *ahemcoughStrikeWitchescough*
Really though, as an alien I do not find that strange. If anything, if she had no human ears that would have probably lowered the "meh she's just like humans" reaction the spy organizations gave out. Something tells me that is more important. |

Even the majority of the manga pictures of Eris out there appear to use the "hair covering" trick to sidestep the issue.

Manami's blonde contact seems to be American. Heck, even her Japanese accent sounds 'American', leading me to assume that Kio's childhood friend is secretly connected with some intelligence arm of the US military. I find it hard to believe however, that she's been spying on Kio simply out of interest. With that kind of affiliation, there must be an actual reason why she's been spying on him. Then again, with the premise of the anime being silly and playful as it is, maybe she just likes doing it. |

Well, my subs claim her superior didn't really want her to join the case, because she isn't "ready". I like to think for realism's sake, that the young girl is still only a trainee and not yet qualified for full fieldwork. This might well be her first official mission, hence why I think she had been spying on her neighbour because she hadn't been allowed to have any duties up to now.

I mean, you've got the childhood friend who knows a lot, you've got a teacher who knows where you live, and then there's Aoi-chan who Kio seems to have been friendly with for quite some time now, all this prior to Eris. If they don't address this in the anime I'll.... I'd go with the cliche of "something his parents were involved in" but I have a feeling they'll take the easy route and make it just about Eris |

lol I was gonna use that word when I posted in here after watching the 1st ep but I felt it didn't stretch far enough so had to go one better and put it down to fate/destiny!
For the most part I hate huge coincidences like these I like to think it's better to play it off as fate/destiny IMO. I just wonder if they will pull out the "his old man was super spy" card here, hell I'm really starting to wonder about alot of things here

Eris was surely the focus of the episode, but I got the impression that Aoi was an important character herself, and her appearance in the ed indicated that. As well as the bigginning, maybe, but im sure they did the same thing with the weapon.
Itd be far more interesting if that was the case in the end though. I dunno, need to wait and see where they go with the story before i make any judgements. Art style and designs reminded me of Black Lagoon somehow |

It's up on Crunchyroll now.
Rather like the first episode. Pretty mad how everyone around Kio has a crazy hidden life style, and it'll be fun to see all of those play out as the show progresses. & not to mention, the cast are very nice on the eyes~ The only part that's different is the door placement.
