Besides needing a romantic after story, other issues need to be further explained.
At the end of every other route there was a minor epilogue aboout who won the elections and what happened to oojima and the club. Mifuyu's story however ended after she recovered in the hospital.

I still can't understand the merit of going so deep into Michiru's story for the anime. It's even more detailed than in the game, because some things that happened off screen in the game is actually shown in the anime.
The only good thing for me was that i could fully understand the situation about Oosawa and Mouri by combining the information of the anime and the game.

Bleh... I wanted Chisato to win out of principle because of how often I see osananajimis lose, but if her story is getting rushed and butchered like this, I'm not sure if I would be happy even if Yuuki and her did end up together.

I feel like Chisato as a complete character loses out in the anime whether she wins or loses.

It's the same as you would have guessed, primarily focused on fighting the discrimination against the "ketoku" students. The reason why it was mostly accepted was that Oojima presented a valid reason why the bullying is not just bad for those students but for the school overall.

I don't think that the existing routes will be that much different aside from being H-content free and some replaced cg's for it (like most psp ports). So i guess that the only thing new will be Non-chan's route.

There is some kind of pointless mini game included that resembles the puyo puyo games. Apparently that game was played in Michiru's route.

The H-scenes in koichoco were in my opinion not that good, eventhough i do tend to skip H-scenes in general.

This game still has a cero D rating, i suspect that the (multiple) onsen scenes are to blame for it

Interesting how the anime combined parts from 3 routes . At this moment i think this episode seems alot better than the previous episode, but i will have to watch it when i get home.

So we have a somewhat rushed and altered conclusion to Michiru's story that takes up the majority of this episode.
A important but mostly anime original moment between Chisato and Mifuyu, with parts borrowed from Mifuyu's story (litterly her physical and mental scars) that resolves most of Chisato problems.
An altered version of Chisato's kidnapping, which occured in her own route. But unlike the game which was done by the cafetaria lady (the "Tacos" obasan) , it seems ordered by Oosawa in the anime (eventhough the kidnapper also used a taser like in the game, lol).

The part with Yuuki finally remembering/realizing what "Love" is (which is exactly the same as in Chisato's story), felt a little out of place after so many things happened in this episode.

The best moment for me were the moments with Mifuyu and Chisato in it, because it was more emotional for me than the scenes related to Kana.

As for the next episode, i think it will mostly stay true to Chisato's route. The difference is that the anime is using Michiru's story as the base for everything while ending with Chisato. Now that Oosawa lost her control over Mouri after Kana is saved, the only thing to make Oojima forfeit is to kidnap Chisato.

Meh, at this point i don't seem to care as much for this anime than when it started. To me the Koichoco anime feels like a mess, because it was trying to tell too much with just 12 episodes. This episode would have done alot better if Michiru's and Chisato's stories were split in different episodes. Michiru's story seem to overshadow Chisato's, eventhough I am pretty sure Chisato's is supposed to be the more significant one because that's where the anime is heading.

Yeah I was surprised by this too. Buy it doesn't seem too unusual either. Interesting point on the role point.

I'm just going WHY, WHY, WHY. The execution is ok but it seems really ... crammed. I'm not too surprised it occurred, but then again.

Seems like a more proper conclusion is to combat a villain. If the anime doesn't execute the way they did, then the Oosawa threat point didn't seem to make much sense.

To be honest i don't need to comment about the final episode. It's fairly predictable how it was going to end, even if you haven't read the game.
It ended up being mostly a toned down version of Chisato's story.

Spoiler for overall impressions of koichoco anime:

The anime started out fairly good and was quite promising for both the VN readers and anime only viewers.
Despite using too many elements from various routes, there was a good chance that this socalled super route could have ended being good.
When the anime started to move out of the common route (up untill the training camp) problems started to arise. The anime delayed picking a heroine too long.

Satsuki was essentially a red herring that probably costed too many episodes, seeing that she played almost no role after her story was over.

From the very start, people who have read the game knew that the anime would take elements from Michiru's route. Because Kana was a character who only appeared in her route. It was not a bad idea, because it would explain Mouri's motivations for helping the shokken, however the anime probably should have shortened everything related to Oosawa. She was mostly an anime original villain for the sake of having a villain in this anime. Plus the anime could atleast have told Michiru's story in a less rushed way. Everything was "fixed" in 1 episode.

As for Isara, i think that the anime should have either included less or more of her story. She felt too irrelevant , but at the same time the anime gave me the impression that she has some relevance due to the bullying. Episode 3 or 4 showed how horrible the bullying was, but it was not followed up enough.

Mifuyu had her moments to shine (episode 5,6 and 11) but otherwise she was like Isara not very present in the anime.

The anime did a terrible job with Chisato.
She appeared less in the beginning of the anime compared to game, but that never bothered me. What did bother me was that the anime completely ruined the romance between Chisato and Chisato. The anime removed almost all the moments in which Yuuki was doubting feelings for Chisato and instead Mouri was the one who explained everything what Yuuki was feeling in episode 11.

I actually think that the anime made Chisato look worse than in the game. She overreacted much more than in the game, plus she was more stable the next day. (and it even blossomed their relationship, because Chisato did not let him go and so she even went to sleep with Yuuki in his bed )

The chocolate scene was in my opinion completely different than in the game.

In the game Yuuki first realized that he loved Chisato (like in the anime with the mock wedding), but it was impossible to become lovers as long as Chisato still saw him as "Daiki". The anime made another mistake by delaying the outcome of Chisato's problem for the next episode instead of resolving it in the next episode. This was most likely done to give Mifuyu a bigger role as a support for Chisato, but i think that this idea made Chisato less likable for the anime viewers.
As how it was resolved, i had a hard time swallowing that Chisato could eat (and swallow XD) chocolate after that scene with Mifuyu.
I would have prefered that the chocolate problem was solved by the two of them not by Mouri and Mifuyu, seeing that it was a deep personal problem between Yuuki and Chisato.

The romance was almost non existent, while i can buy the idea what Dorsai posted in the anime section that the anime does not need to show it because Yuuki was always in love with Chisato before he even realized. But that would make the anime less of a romance, but an overly dramatic politics anime.

While the politics was a major focus in the first 8 or so episodes, by the time when the chocolate drama and Kana revelation started, the politics took a backseat by fastforwarding it through. Which i think it was a strange decision seeing that it was this anime's strong point up untill that point.

The story was in my opinion a mess caused by the writer wanting to include too much (maybe to get people buy the psp game, but who knows). Because too much time was spent on secundary characters while underdeveloping the main pair.
I think that the pacing of the first 7 episodes was a little too slow compared to later episodes. The anime took too much time telling the common route, but this is also to blame on trying to tell too much.

My tentative conclusion (need to rewatch some episodes again) is that Koichoco started out as a promising eroge adaptation but it ended up being different from what i would have expected. The lack of romance and the problems that i had how the story was told keeps me from really liking this anime, but at the same time this anime not that bad. It could have been alot worse, but it also could have been alot better.

Finally i think that this anime does not capture the "magic" of it's original, because the game had overall more "koi", less "senkyo" and less "chocolate".

At this point I'm not sure if we really need spoilers any more given the situation, but yeah, I think I basically agree with you. I liked the anime, but didn't "love" it, largely because they really undercut the "love" aspect of the plot. Like, my absolutely favourite scene in the entire game is the "morning after" scene in Chisato's route -- it's so sugary sweet that it kills me every time. But we didn't really get anything like that in this anime because it was so focused on keeping the plot rolling that the romance was taken for granted ("Oh, I just realized that I've loved her all along."). I think the anime does do a pretty good job of stringing together the political intrigue, and if you watch it primarily for that, you'll be pretty entertained. But the romance is basically a side-story. At least, on the other hand, anyone who plays the game now will be rewarded with a new romantic experience no matter what route they choose. (I am still curious about whether the PSP game will retain the original game's route requirements.)

Despite that i originally tried Koichoco eroge for the politics, it was the romance and the drama that kept me the most interested when reading.

I don't think that the anime should have made the politics centerstage over the romance, because the story overall in koichoco was pretty average or at best above average for me compared to other eroges.

Also my copy for the psp game has been shipped out, but i expect it to arrive in 1-2 weeks because of the customs >_>'
So i will probably play it in the non legit way before my copy arrives.

I was actually surprised how much I liked the politics in this game since I plainly have zero interest in politics. I mean, who is the mayor now? Is George Bush still president? Is Queen Elizabeth still alive and well? I seriously don't know nor care for these things; they interest me as much as my finger nail.

With that said. Koichoco really had me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next when it came to the political campaign (especially for Isara's and Satsuki's version). However the politics were pretty much forgettable in Mifuyu's and Michiru's route but it's forgivable since there was so much drama going on which I liked.

In the first episode, it was truncated so it didn't show Michiru joining the club, which is actually the first event in the game/trial. Was this anime change because it went ahead and showed the Kana information gathering scene? Because normally you have 0 information on that, so you don't notice the joining the club has any hidden information behind it.

I think that makes sense; basically her plot was "re-framed" in the anime. Michiru is important in the game because she's a romantic interest, so the story really revolves around meeting her, getting to know her, falling in love with her, and then discovering her back story (and that's when we you find out about Kana, etc.). But in the anime, her importance is really just in the context of the Kana story that is spread throughout the narrative. So how he met Michiru is not really as important as how she fits into that overall plot.

Right, but they needed that sort of clue because the game didn't start with the Kana scenes outright. Basically, in the game it started with Michiru and worked its way out, but in the anime they started on the outside and worked Michiru into it.
