It can also be セーヴィア (for saviour) I guess . It sounds weird in Japanese for a name so I guess they had to change it. But it really shouldn't be pronounced as saver if it is spelled saviour.

There are probably a good five more things it could be. Don't you just LOVE katakana

Though like I think I mentioned earlier, as for the Saviour spelling itself, it's probably right, but it's not like Bandai's merchandise is infallible. The MG Freedom states that it has "Phase Shit Armor", even though we all know that's not quite right. (And I won't even get into O.M.N.I. ENFARCER and Cycrops System...)

hehe....yea...at first i taught saviour was saber..but after matching a few possiblities..omfg...they are almost 4-5 words that match セイバー...

That is not right.In german normally both letters have a different spelling. Vogel isn't pronounced like Wasser.A "v" is normally more ponounced like a "f".
Or did I get wrong what you meant ??

that's the famous "Akatsuki no Kuruma", and I LOVE that scene too, IMHO the BEST scene in the entire series

That's not a representative example, as soon as it was discovered it was corrected. A typo and a deliberate spelling are not the samething. If Saviour is incorrect, then the box label would have been corrected by now. Since the merchandise comes from Bandai, the company that makes Gundam, it is essentially infallible, typos notwithstanding.

When I was building my MG Freedom, I just couldn't believe it. I told it to my friend with a MG Freedom and he had the same thing.

Yeah, that was one logo I did not put on the model, heh...

As for Saviour, it's still a spelling by the same people who gave us Enfarcer and Cycrops.

(Though I guess that's better than Fullmetal Alchemist, where we learn that NPCs are an important part of Alchemy, and messages are conveyed by British history lessons...)

huh....doesn't Freedom have the PS armour as well?...i mean it can do the change colour thing like Strike right.....
oh shit......if it doesn't have the armour.....damn i'm going to have to re-spray the damn Freedom..........
And on a sililar note.....can someone tell me what colour combi they used to do the paint for the body of freedom......the manual paint instruction ratio had a bluish tinge to the black to it but in the series its just black.....so...i'm a little confused now.....
