I can honestly say I was a bit lost when I first read through the chapter. Seems like I have to do a bit of refreshing. Though with the next chapter not coming out any time soon, I should probably put it off and avoid having to refresh myself twice.

Put me down as another lost fan, I think I missed something important about the 14th and it all felt so, random. First we're there, then we're there and there's fighting everywhere, and the art looked off to me. Actually, with those two images on the previous page, I seem to like the older style better (then again I'm a sucker for traditional pen and ink drawings...).

The Demon eye Wisely seems like an interesting Noah out of all the new Noah's introduced. Skin Bolic confirmed dead but not Noah of Wrath. Love pg 13 where the human Earl with his sword protected by other Noahs. That's just pure badass.xD The 3rd exorcist is kind of gross and creepy IMO. Noah's Invasion, started. Kanda vs Wisely, Krory vs Jasdevi(rematch,possible), Earl and Road vs Black Order,lol.

So err. . can someone explain what Noah really is ? D: this chapter should explain it, but for some reasons I can't understand it (same goes with Air Gear. . probably translation crap).

So basically. . every human had a Noah gene, and only a few chosen people can be choosen as 'reincarnated noah' ? o.o;

btw, this chapter is awesome ;_; this how the fight should be for Earl's groups. An all-out attack which will end things decisively lol

Think of Noah as a possessed sinner, like the one in The Exorcism. 14 chosen humans that possesses Noah's genes and are considered far more stronger than the average humans today. They fight alongside the Earl to get rid of the humans they live with and the God they detest for killing their kind. They're depicted like an evil aristocrat, compared to the church.

Is this the line for the "lost reader" tickets? I know it's been a long time but I was expecting chibi-kanda and tons of flashbacks, not Zetman gore and a new arc...I'll agree that the whole invasion was rushed, I think the thirds started dying due to that conflict rumour probably bing true (starfish hand etc) but I could be wrong....Surprisingly enough, I CAN wait till the next release, it doesn't draw me like it used to.

well considering that its monthly release than 30pages is a ultimate minimum... normaly its about 40pages...sometimes more... just look on mangas like clymore or rosario+vampire..... so DGM will have to get those minimum 30pages easyly :P

I'd guess about 38 pages on average, with the December issue (in November) having about 44. 38 being on the lower side of average from what I've seen based on FMA, and slightly more than average for the "return/premiere" issue.

Read 187 two days ago and read it again today. Changes.... think I'm gonna need a while to get used to it all. And ugh.. All this hype about Kanda's exciting final revelation and look at what we got, 2 pages out of 50 with a one sentence dialogue from him. Wtf HOSHINO!!

Wow, give it time. Kanda's development is sure to kick off in the next few chapters.

The waiting is off, and my patience riped results, although I kept myself entertained reading other manga and watching anime during the long, long time gap between the last issue and the most recent one.

I definitely loved how much Hoshino-sensei improved dramatically not only the gothic-like art, but also semi-Lovecraftian feel of inevitable doom and nightmare surrealism which plagued chapter 187.

Spoiler for The Noah:

The first 19 pages got me a whole confused; raising more questions than replying answers.

What I understood correctly is that the Earl is not only the first apostle of the Noah, but also Noah himself...?
- Basically, he has never reincarnated from 7000 years ago; so his memories have not dwindled.

I had the impression from Komui's tale to Allen way, way back in chapter 4 or 5 in the manga, that it was the Creator of Innocence whom defeated the Earl, but the Millenium Earl states in this chapter that he defeated the Creator but couldn't destroy the Heart.

Now for the 2nd and 13th Apostles:
1. The other Noah are reincarnated through the passage of time to protect the first apostle, which is the Earl.

2. From what Hoshino-sensei revealed in this chapter, I conclude that any average human can awaken as a Noah but only if two conditions are fulfilled:
a. First, that the current Noah incarnation gets killed, most likely by Innocence. Which happened to Skinn Bolic losing against Kanda.

b. (I'm not very sure about this one... yet) Hoshino-sensei has not delved deep at how the Noah memories transmigrate to the next incarnation. I have to possible scenarios: the transmigration process happens by random chance so any human has a certain percentage likelihood of becoming a Noah or not, or the Noah reincarnation is akin to the Innocence in which chooses the next human body that is compatible with that particular memory for the incarnation to be fulfilled.

3. According to Wisely and confirmed by Road, the 14th Noah betrayed the Earl some 35 years prior to the start of the main storyline.
a. I believe that both Road and the 14th incarnated at the same time period, and I presume that the 14th had the appearance and body of a child like Road does in the current timeline of the story.

b. What I think for the moment the reason as to why the 14th chose to betray the Earl was due for his concern and care for Mana. I theorize that the 14th, unlike Tykki, simply could not bear to live a double life and chose to live with alongside his human brother, Mana.

4. Cross Marian already explained to Allen, that those who happen to inherit the Noahs' memories will have their current personalities erased and minds absorbed when the Noah memory awakens to trigger the incarnation process.
The Noah refer to the original names of the 12 apostles from 7000 years ago.
a. Basically, Tykki Mik is the name of Tykki's former human-self before the Noah memories reincarnated within him; his Noah-original name is Joyd.
b. For an observation, if the above statement holds true, then that means that Road refuses to be called or acknowledged by her former name, using her Noah name instead.
The Earl corroborate this by addressing her as the apostle 'Road'.

Spoiler for Alma Karma & the Third Exorcists:

1. I'm beginning to imagine or get suspicious that the secrets behind the formation and origins of the Third Exorcists have a little bit in common to other manga which feature bio-engineered or man-made hybrids; Claymore comes into my mind while coming up with this wild thought.

Johnny's reaction is an explicity hint of what involves the creation of the Third Exorcists, and from the looks of disgust and displeasure he delivers it comes as something highly nasty and bordering on the edges of amoral, inhuman.

2. Tokusa explains to Allen that when a third Exorcists has himself or herself literally absorbed by another third Exorcist, the latter becomes the 'womb' by taking on the akuma cells of the former 3rd Exorcist to deliver a new generation of thirds.

I think this plays allusion to the birth of Mary. By taking one 3rd's seed, other 3rd's transition into a state of gestation in which they will deliver new seeds for the formation of other 3rds.
Unfortunately, Hoshino-sensei hasn't revealed exactly the nature of how this Alma-Karma occurs on 3rds.
