Chap 236. Erza lost...the mighty Titania lost....unbelievable. Surprise move by Mashima I have to say. Really made the viewers would crave what'll happen in the next chapter.

Gildartz is still fighting Blue Note on equal ground. With Azuma defeating Eza and taking out Fairy Tail's source of powers in the process the situation is looking grim. The GH combat wise still have Azuma and Hades himself. I'm betting Jellal and some point Thunder God Laxus will finally make an appearance.

Anticipating the next chapter.

so it appears from the title that the guild would win, somehow. Are we finally seeing the replacement of Mystogun by his Earthland counterpart? after all, Jellel's past position was one of the ten saints, so he must be very powerful, magically speaking. Maybe even more powerful than Erza (though he lost in previous battle.

and so just what's the deal with Fairy Glitter? I hope we'll get to see its use someday (if not in the current arc) and that it doesn't drop out of sight like the coming back of Lisanna.

there is many ways to read "incredible" - another would be "incredible" guild for surviving this defeat without dying - this is obvious ... a few last moments of "incredible glory" before the curtain falls. win, somehow? no way

The speculations galore.

As much as I would fanboy in an irrational manner to see Fairy Tail in its full glory ( all of its S-Class ) + Jellal popping up in what one could call a situation out of a badly written fanfiction, I honestly feel the situation doesn't just feel right for something like that.

I do like Jellal's appearance as one of the 5 or 6 fans he has here, but the story's direction is clearly steering away at the moment from the vital 'Jellal' factor that links the Zeref = Urtear connection.

That, and I don't want to be wrong on my speculation of the future Jellal Rescue Arc.

I think he's talking about when Ultear pretended to be Zeref to manipulate Jellal.

I think atm there is bigger fish to fry than Jellal takin revenge on her ... though ...one never knows ...since I don't rly like her, I would kinda enjoy her bein taken apart by a soemwaht irritated and angry Jellal of all people

I've been saying since Mest ran away from Azuma that Gerard would be rescued from jail by him... still think it's going to happen. After all he likely knows where he is, has the clearance to get into see him, and can get him out and bring him back to the island in less than 5 minutes due to his teleport magic.

All that would be required for him to risk his career over this is to see/sense Wendy's life being drained. He's already risked his career over her safety once so why not again?

Plus lets face it, you can't have a Fairy Tail arc without Gerard... Mashima won't let it happen

Well, the question right now is who is going to come to FT's aid. I would be very surprise if Light team made their return with Ichiya sceaming "Men!" as the battle cry.

In a very simplisitc way, look for an oversize tree that just uprooted itself.

Jesting aside, it would seem that Makarov is good friends with the guild leader of Blue Pegasus, so I would not be surprised if they had a warning system that would activate if one of them were fallen thus alerting the other to send aid.

You also have to remember that only Doranbolt/Mest knows of the situation and is trying to convince the Council not to destroy the island. Maybe the Counsil might be sending another guilde to intervine on FT's behalf instead of obliterating the island with an Etherion blast.

well, he's too big a character to be shoved into a hole and shut off there for the rest of his life.

Though whether he comes out of jail and really becomes a good person is anybody's guess. Maybe his time in jail has developed his grudge against the council...
