They're missing, as in their deaths haven't been confirmed. Being the sentimental person that I am, I rather not have them die.

The plane crashed and only the remains of the plane were found in Africa (or enroute, can't remember). All passengers have been declared dead by the government. I think the author left the bodies "missing" on purpose, so that he can resurrect them. But, as far as I can see, it can go either way.

Judging by the time-line, by volume 9, I can safely say that its roughly about 2-3 months, Africa is not the world's least populated area so parents are being rescued slowly is too long even if they don't speak a word of African, i do think that they can speak some English like "Help" or "We are trapped" or "Plane crash" isn't it ?
Also the government would've at least sent someone to investigate isn't it ?

Well, it would be different if they're in the jungle or in some isolated village where the people could only speak swahili.

He probably createdan exit door in case he wants to end this series, like:

"Mother of Buddha! The parents have returned! What will happen now"

Something like that.

I'm not sure how the manga did it, but as a matter of fact, in the epilogue, Yuuta had a dream of them landing with parachutes, and got stuck in a tribal village in Africa. I actually think the story will be better if they remain dead. Reminds me of the childhood friend of Kurimu of Seitokai...

In the rules of Japan media, Dreams=reality.

That's the beauty of Japanese manga & anime, they can make dreams reality.

Ok, I just looked at the manga; I apologize for writing spoilers without spoiler tags. I thought 6 chapters would have finished volume 1 by now especially, since light novel manga adaptations normally have more pages. But I see that the manga has more details on the events in school and Yuuta's part-time jobs, which is kind of nice but also makes it a little slower paced. However, so far, I find the LN to be better at tugging my heart. The impact from the manga on some of the more emotional parts is not so great, and it has more fan-service than the LN (there's no swimming scene in the LN when Raika visited though ). Though I expect the next few chapters of the manga to be really good (if it can bring out the emotions depicted in the LN). Prepare some tissue paper ;_;.

Oh yeah, btw, I just got volume 2 today.
From now on, I'll use spoiler tags for the LN.

Overlord scans seem to have done the prologue...though I don't know for the rest. If not, you'll have to wait for Zephyrus (who's damn quick).

Overlord scans? any website link? I can't find Overlord scans at google.

PapaKiki seems gaining more and more fame, which is awesome.

overload scans try using mangaupdates to search for them. They release manga for index and railgun and other stuff.

Japanzai has released chapter 6 of Chronicle...

It's nice to know that Nimura genuinely wants to become friend with Yuuta.
And did Yuuta...... came in the end?
