Episode 1 seemed promising enough, kind of reminiscent of Talentless Nana if it was an isekai. We barely met the yuri love interest though. I'm guessing this one is going to be yet another slow burn that ends inconclusively, I guess we'll see.

Glad I picked up a year of HiDive for 50% off during Christmas week... this is actually the first simulcast I've watched since.

The twist halfway into ep 1 was neat, unfortunately the rest seemed unimpressive.

Not a very good first episode. So far there are no likable characters and what we have been shown of the plot is lacking. The way the flashback was cut makes me think that they are going with the church being corrupt(again).

Hmm, the fact this anime has the protagonist ramble on about isekais probably means the original source was written... Hmm, 2019~ onwards?

Anyways, I couldn't help but notice similarities to Shakugan no Shana (and surprise, even made by JC Staff).
That said, the already-overused "I know I am writing an isekai but I'm not bad like the others' by the guy drops my expectations of this anime. First of all, the problem isn't isekai itself, but Narou. Shana did it fine, Zero no Tsukaima did it fine.

To be honest I was just about to hit 'Stop' on this one when Menou took out her knife and stabbed Potato-Kun through the brain. He got what was coming to him!
Will give it a few more episodes.

The comedy bit after the serious part was kinda unnecessary, still, a good start. Liked the twist and the animation from J.C.Staff is sweet. Hope they can keep the quality up for the rest of the show.

Well, that was pretty nice overall. The "twist" in the middle was of course known to everybody who read the preview.

The premise seems interesting enough and I wouldn't be surprised if there's a big twist in the middle of the show, since that is normally what happens in these kinds of shows.

Anyway, picked up for the moment.

So you're one of those people who prefers to believe one-liners of other people instead of getting your own impression. Okay. ^^

Dunno about this yet. I just hope there will be good reason why spare that other otherworlder (aside of her being innocent human being as that's already established not being enough). Either way I am not exactly into "evil" protagonist so I do hope mc will get better.

Ouch. I actually liked Talentless Nana though admit it was pretty trashy. The manga is doing... interesting things now as well. In Virgin Road I honestly thought "null" was going to be Imagine Breaker 3.0 before it ended up being a black hole or whatever.

I'd have preferred the other yuri isekai (I'm in Love with the Villainess) but its probably too gay so I'll see how this one goes.

I would be lying if I said I don't understand your disdain for Narou-kei (if ever there was a reason for Sturgeon's Law, this is it), but you shouldn't let that colour your opinion of this series.

This is just my opinion, but I do think this is one of the best fantasy novels to come out in recent years.

The parallels with the first episode of Talentless Nana are obvious.

In this case, it feels more like the story is killing off the "traditional OP isekai" story to move to a yuri isekai story.

Eh? Really?

I found the MC of that to be too... stalkery/pushy/creepy.

Similar to the flat-chested girl in this episode actually. Possibly even worse but the flat-chested girl is just a side character so I wouldn't take her as seriously.
