In general, just another episode moaning over the loss of Isara. Welkin finally cries and gets over(?) Isara's death...
Zaka is replacing her position...

Still... Sega! Not only do you dare kill her in the scenario, but you have to block her face in the sponsor's screen too?!

About time they aired a good episode...so where to start....oh yeah kinda creepy...how faldio always seems to appear behind alicia. Speaking of Faldio we see him studying up on the valkyrie and taking snipping lessons...
And like l guesed welkin finally breaks down...alicia is there to console him...and l guess they make up?...he finally acknowledges her feelings afte she gives him a few words and let's him cry...as they hold hands at the end...

btw....my god welkin that's some f'ing yell you gave out....

preview for next ep: l guess faldio doesn't give a damn about his love for alicia as it seems going by his facial expression his going hunting ha!

Spoiler for episode 19:

Pretty good episode so far.
-The squad is looking slightly better

-Captain Varrot gives squad 7 new orders to retake Bruhl

-Flashback to Isara and Welkins past,

-Faldio pieces together everything he's witnessed about Alicia and...finally comes to the conclusion "Alicia...is a Valkyria..." last line he says "What should I do..."

-Zaka is back and he's the new Edelweiss pilot, which is ok. I was kind of hoping to see the Shamrock supporting the Edelweiss in battle...but this is good I guess

-We FINALLY get to see the squad members use the weapons they were ment to use!!. Only took 18 episodes, Scouts used rifles, Shocktroopers used machine guns and finally SNIPERS used Sniper rifles and Lancers used LANCES!!.

-We also get to see Susie actually shooting her rifle, seems once she starts she can't stop until someone else stops her o_O

-OK...Now I feel like an ASS...It seems even Welkin himself didn't understand why he couldn't cry, after losing his sister and dad he just didn't/couldn't shed any tears.

-Until Alicia comforts him...then he breaks down and cries harder then anyone has ever cried up till now...I won't lie, when I heard Welkin say that, see Alicia comfort him and tell him it was alright to...I CRIED :*(

-And...we finally, truly get to see just how much pain Welkin was in, he cries and screams in anguish...made my heart hurt just watching and listening...I feel SO bad for calling him an unemotional wimp now...:*(

If you ever watch 1 episode...this one has to be it, I tear up alittle in episode 17 but episode 19 made me cry for real :*(

Even though she wasn't animated, Jane must be her training officer offscreen.

Speaking of Zaka becoming the new tank driver, I know it was somewhat expected. However I really believed to the very end that Ramal would have asked to be re-assigned to Squad 7 as tank driver/engineer as much as Kreis did in the game after Isara died. I would sure have done anything to see the Shamrock in action.

Speaking of weapons used by the 7s, I wonder if they'll ever get these "royal" upgrades as we saw in the game. These weapons were really bad ass in the game when you get them!

It was about time Welkin would shed tears after losing Isara! I still don't understand why it took so long to get to that moment and make all fans go angry for an entire week. That was the kind of thing which could have been wrapped up in one single episode, keeping precious time for more action. At least, it's done and we can now focus on something else later.

If Faldio will do what I think he will do, they better give a damn good explanation because differently from the game Faldio has feelings for Alicia in the anime and to ignore that would be.. so like these script-writers I guess?.. Lol, I guess I should not complain - one should not expect from failures something more than a fail.

Ep was pretty good though. Maybe because we did not have Faldio to punch the lights out at critical moments...

If they hardly ever show battle as it is, I doubt they'd bring in the Shamrock. When the heck would get give it any screen time for people to understand what it's about?

Zaka as the driver makes some sense. At least it wasn't Ramal. Hopefully his screen time goes away now.

Tho..Welkn's yelling is...kind of funny (I know the scene is meant to be sad..but still) and the battle is kind of unrealistic (I don't have any military's knowledge or experience..but it seems..weird XD)

Anyway, Welkin and Alicia holding hands >> all...that scene alone has given me enough reason to give this episode a 10/10

After what happened in episode 17 and 18 it makes sense that he let out his mourning of Isaras death in his manson. We were able to see that his maskerade of the cold superior started to crumble when he took Isaras leavings but after all, he did not shed a tear until this episode. All in all it was a good scenery placed by the writers.

Positive to say is that the series is now almost in line with the game.

Somehow when you put it that way it's suddenly really hilarious.

This was a good ep. The battle was a bit short, but it's ok, Naggiar's next!

At first I saw Faldio appear on screen and I cringed. Then Zaka returned and sheer awesomeness settled in. From then on the episode just kept getting better.
Definitely one of the better episodes of the series. Makes my hope go up.

I guess the animators finally heard the complaining about the wrong weapons being used.
However... Muusad is not a lancer! (see the next episode preview). Ah well.. I guess being a famed veteran of EW1 means he knows how to use any weapon anyways.

The scenes with Welkin were poignant.

Next up: Naggiar's Plain! Let's get a good feeling of WAR.

As I raised for last episode, Welkin was completely hiding his feelings by working hard due to his fear of losing those who're important to him. At least he got to release such pressure when no one's nearby.
And yes, his screams of pain shakes my heart, pretty much like Episode 5 of TM8.0.

The next one will be a good one, hopefully.

I wouldn't say the love triangle is over just yet...I don't think people like Faldio will give up like that...especially now that he knows she's a Valkyria his obsession will grow even more. At least now Alicia and Welkin are closer than ever
