Proud of Messer this episode. And of course Kaname and the Walkure too.

Thank goodness he was able to overcome the syndrome this time during aerial battle against Keith. I have a feeling their rivalry will get more intense later on. Lol, Bogue's rage was rather delicious to watch.

Arad knows Messer has Var. Years ago he was a victim of Var and Kaname's song saved him.
Kaname was an idol whose career didn't pan out. She was to be Walkure's manager but she was recruited as she had Fold Receptor Factor.
It is revealed to those who doesn't know what Fold Receptors are. Hayate also has it.

Hayate and Mirage together keep Messer's secret. Unfortunately Bridge Bunnies spread that they are dating which reaches Walkure and Freyja. Freyja is anxious about it that she spies on them. Learning about Messer.

Walkure is testing singing at Ragna's own ruins. It is now already known that the apples and Ruin waters are the cause of Var.

On Windermere Roid isn't much concerned that intel leaked out. Keith and the Aerial Knights raid Ragna.

Their real objective was to get Walkure's effect on Ruins. Bogue again attacks Walkure who is on Macross Elysion but is thwarted.

Keith's real objective is to have his duel with Messer. Messer though is having another Var attack. Walkure singing brings him back.

With their primary objective accomplished the Aerial Knights retreat.

Messer such a awesome ace, He can beat 3 junior pilot in one go while under Vars

Teensy bit worrying that Mirage was the one who got to listen to Kaname's history and get the indirect 'even if you don't have talent you can still contribute' pep talk- which Kaname was directing at herself but which might be foreshadowing since Mirage apparently has similar issues. I hope we aren't going to get a show where the only female combatant (combat idol singers aside) gets relegated to supporting the hero; i wanna see Mirage get to kick butt at some point.

Messer's backstory regarding the Var was easy enough to guess, it Kaname's which is the surprise.

Ugh, I normally like Bridge Bunnies but these three are starting to get on my nerves.

Interesting that Hayate has an FRF, so his dance is the way for him to fully express his emotions on the battlefield.

Bokura no Senjou Walkure ver. is awesome.

It says something about Messer's skill that he was still able to match Keith despite the Var affecting him, granted it could be Keith holding back, but still.

That scene was there for a reason. Mirage just isn't as talented as Hayate, and she'll have to accept that just like Kaname did in her respective field. Once she stops struggling, she'll probably improve a bit too.

Come now, Mirage is doing better. She and Hayate are syncing. Slowly but surely, as demonstrated near the end of this episode.

Also cut her some slack, her grandmother had what? 300 years worth of experience before meeting Max?

Might be nice if she could get some moral support to that effect from the person in question, but IIRC grandma really hates talking about her age.

Edit: Though it would be kind of hilarious to see the reaction of any of the Windermere folks to, "-but I don't worry about it anymore, since I have hundreds of years to get better at it."

Speaking of Milia, apparently Max and her were never legally married for a long time. One of her main motivation to become Mayor of 7 was so she can get an official marriage certification because no city hall could hand them out after the war, since they were all destroyed.

Awww yes, the Kaname/Messer/Arad episode. All kinds of Messer angst! Kaname's worry! Messer collapsing in Arad's arms (kind of)! (And I liked how the preview was edited as if Mirage was blushing watching Arad clap his hand on Messer's shoulder. ) With Keith and his shining hair boner chasing after Messer's butt. I hope we'll have some more of this, these dynamics are too precious to leave alone.

But that scene with Messer and Freyja at the end... yes yes, I understand what it was trying to do, but... "By the way, how does it feel knowing you have like 15 years of life left?" Damn Messer, that was rude.

MISUNDERSTANDING EVERYWHERE!

Joke aside, it was a good episode for Messer, as expected of the Ace, Bridge Bunnies were kinda annoying during this episode.

Good to know that Hayate has Fold receptors, I thought it was only the Fold quartz who did it.

Also I didn't know the var'ed people gain more muscle but Messer keep control of himself, does he feels love or admiration/respect for Kaname? Because looks like next episode will be Messer & Kaname.

It seems weird that no one would notice, since he's been wearing a big purple gem on the front of his shirt for the entire series. Fold Quartz may be rare, but it's also so important to what these people do that they should know about it.

If they don't see it react, they wouldn't have any reasons to think it's more than a random purple necklace. It's not like fold quartz is the only purple gem out there.

Once again I am loss on Kanames lack of popularity. She is sexy, nice person, intelligent and her voice is at least equal to Mikumo. Her only problems are lack of confidence and rest of galaxy having poor taste. As far as I am concerned among Valkures she is number one and I am sure Messer would agree with me.


Also It's nice to see Hayato and Mirage hang out so naturally and even more their exceptional teamwork as far as I am concerned it's just matter of time before they wil became sync enough to take on Messer in battle (though I really hope they will not have to).

She probably had a crappy manager pre-Walkure and never got a catchy song to sing until she joined Chaos. She's my favorite Walkure personally.
