Aww, thanks for feeling sorry for me XD I bought VC when it was half-price at Gamestop, so it was $30 new. Plus I was having a bad day, so it was a justified purchase...

I was going to get a PS3 last month, but my mom said "lol no"...then the price drop happened, so I'm getting it for christmas now. Only three more months of waiting :3

I heard reports last week of VC going for $20 at Wal-Mart, but that was last week.

As for the 3 game rule, I learned that lesson the hard way. I remember buying a PSP when they rolled out, buying LuminES, and then not buying much else for a year or so, because the early games were uniformly horrible. I regretted the (overpriced) purchase for the next year or two, until some decent games finally came out for it.

For the most part I believe in waiting for that critical mass of good games and falling prices.

So you buy the game before you get a PS3??? That's very dedicated...although I am sure you won't be disappointed....It's still the only game that I think would make me buy a PS3...

well there are some good games around or coming soon.. Uncharted was a good series..although I would still take VC over it anyday.

shock!!! I can't belief I don't remember all the squad's names....I am not very good at these type of things but still.....I failed...must play more VC!!!!!

It's not a squad we're having here. It's at least a good-sized platoon.

Sshh, it's alright. Not many people know the difference; even if you are right about what Squad 7 really is, their name is still Squad 7, and you are fighting a losing battle here.

Well, "Squad 7, move out!" sounds better than "Platoon 7, move out!". But, a Lt is a platoon commander. So...

Indeed...

But Squad isn't that wrong. Although with all the troops on reserves and on call it would be a platoon, when ingame you are only controlling a small number of them-hence squad. Maybe they're squad 7 of the 7th platoon? ...nah xD

I think the game design team aren't exactly military experts...considering they labeled Corp underneath the Div. in the Gallian Invasion map...although at the end of the day...it's all minor details..

Wow my sporcle game made it here. I apologise that the technicality of the term squad is incorrect, just following valkyria chronicles definition . I do like looking at the results and seeing what percentage of people remember certain members, no real surprises tbh.

Actually, Squad 7 is the translators fault, not the designers. The ones writing the Japanese script called them 'shoutai' which does mean platoon.

despite not having a military adviser/expert like Strike Witches had, I'm fairly impressed with the game from a military perspective...although it's still lacking in some areas, overall it's pretty well done

I think the design for tanks and weapon they put in a lot of efforts and the maps are pretty well designed..the uniforms for Militia is top notch too.

favorite part is the difference faces and voice for all 59 of your squad members..

59? Sounds more like a small company or one big platoon.

Well you could only choose 20 for your group and have 9 fighting at one time including Welkins tank

a squad is around 8 or 9 soldiers so it makes sense, the others are reinforcements but still can't have more then 9 soldiers on the battlefield at one time.

That's a very good point. When you get rid of a member, they say something along the lines of looking forward to joining again.
