I also have to think the show's writers will give the poor kid at least some kind of opportunity at some point. Tamako Market is really into wistfulness, but for Mochizou to be continually frustrated would be just too cruel, I think, for the show's warmhearted vibe. I don't know if we'll really get anywhere romantically in terms of an explicit confession or anything even close to that, but I think there will be at least some movement in his favor. That might not be saying much, but I think it'll happen. Tamako asking for a birthday gift from *him* specifically also makes me wonder if she isn't *quite* as oblivious as she appears.

Heh... how much you want to bet we get a "Not what it looks like" moment for those two, with Tamako deciding to support the two of them. Maybe if this was more plot and less slice of life.
