Yeah, it ought to be interesting to see what they come up with. Though on the upside, as far as fooling their class goes, they only need to fool or hide things from 8 people, and two of those are Chizuru and Zazie. Heck at this point they almost might as well dispense with the whole charade as far as Negi's class goes.

It'll be difficult to keep Ako's cheerleader friends from prying things out of her, Ayaka is going to be wanting a veeerrrry good explanation in exchange for not being trouble when they left (and for the long delay in their return), Chizuru probably already has a good idea of things, and Zazie would probably freak out the average mage. That pretty much just leaves the twins with few good ways into the loop.

Please note that prior awareness of the supernatural and learning of magic due to Negi are not mutually exclusive (Sayo and Asuna), and not everyone who learned of magic during the series did so because of Negi (Chisame, Asakura). Also, since we do not know in-series to what extent Zazie has knowledge of the supernatural beyond awareness of Sayo, she's red for now. Expect that to change to blue.

The last page of 287 (part of ANB's spoilers) has an extra long line of text where normally it's just "to be continued next issue", so I'd say break between 287 and 288 confirmed, but I don't know how long.

Look again. She is in bold. She's one of the two who are both blue and bold, as she knew of magic before the start of the series, but thanks to memory loss, rediscovered it again in Chapter 1, thanks to Negi. I even mention her and Sayo (the other blue and bold) at the end of that part of the post.

Inasmuch as she is aware of magic culture and able to at least use magical items to perform magical feats (like teleportation, etc.). Some of that stuff she did during the ballroom fight suggests she may be able to perform some magic without magic items (coolest reloading technique ever). Mage? Magic-equipped and capable Muggle? Six of one and a half-dozen of the other.

Given her friendship with Chao, as well as her booth being equipped with thrusters and the like, not to mention she helped Takamichi escape (assumed)... I would say that it happened a while ago. One just needs to make the right connections in their head.

I don't actually think its all that sure that Ayaka is still back in Wales (at least that'll give some time touble which have allready to some degree been acknowledged, since Negigang have been in Magic World at bare mininum 5 weeks, a week getting Negi 'teaming' up with the slaves and then from there 1 month since that the time he used as Gladiator earning enough money ... proberly closer to 2 months or maybe even 3 Months, question about give or take a few days here and a few days there)

Typical Akamatsu ... twice as big a cliffhanger for twice as long break as he usually takes ...

Yep, next week starts a two week break for Negima due to both a regular break next issue and Golden Week happening in two weeks.

Trying to figure out a time comparison between Earth and a place that is first on a different planet, and second inside an artificial plane with who knows what sort of temporal tweaks that involves, is probably an exercise in futility. That said, the war in the magic world is said to have happened twenty years ago, both from the perspective of citizens of the magic world and from the perspective of people on Earth, so we can safely assume that time moves roughly the same for both worlds, if not exactly so.
