I can't believe he just let him leave. A dangerous psychic like that; I'd take him off the board while Peeps has the upper hand. I liked that the animators remembered to leave one of the skylights busted from the antagonist's entrance, I've often seen things like that get missed.
The show made me go buy the books. They're pretty good. I ended up calling off work one day so I could blow through four of them, lol |

Pi-chan is lucky that he is only facing a Isekai-ojisan doppelganger, not a real Isekai Ojisan. The guy throws all his attack to Pi-chan based on his game knowledge. When he fails, he walks away. The real isekai Ojisan will take on the challenge and use any gamer trick and hack, until he beats the boss.
Sasaki realizes the enemy guy is acquaintance of his superior at the agency. They don'st seem to have anything in common. This guy is a geek who is into fantasy video games, and his superior confessed to Sasaki that his interest is queer. Their shared information puts Shizuka in trouble. Sasaki manages to persuade him to leave Shizuka alone. It is like the organization is like a mafia, and it puts a deserter to death. Sasaki doesn't want to get involved with any rival faction, but he has no choice. So, he utilizes his skill learned from Japanese businessman handbooks. |

The anime ends right when Neighbour-san was about to become relevant, what the fuck? I didn't enjoy this show all that much but I want a second season now. She's by far the most intriguing character.
Anyway, Spoiler for final episode:

That being said, given the implication in the post credit scene, I'm certain I don't want that perspective switch to begin with. So bullet dogged I guess. I actually thought she'd be one of the magical girls and just pull a Clark Kent there.

It was a good show, one of the few I looked forward to weekly this season. Enough to make me go buy the books. The books are decent. Don't wanna spoil anything, but Christ, this writer can't decide what he wants to write. If you read all the books, you can see he wants to experiment with all sorts of genres and settings but in one overarching story lol. A little chaotic, but interesting.
Looking forward to S2. |
