So whats peoples thoughts on the OST?

I hope they keep the ost, some of it you just have to keep in, like The Shinra Corporation, the Motorbike chase, Gold Saucer theme and ofc the Boss fight theme.
Granted keeping the OST but giving them a little modern update ofc.
Get some proper wind and strings in there.

Also can't wait to see these guys in all their FULL HD glory

I'll still grind that shit out for Knights of the Round!

It might not be 100% the same thing which is why I'm talking about it, I want to see some space travel.

Yeah, but it's Final Fantasy. It's not Mass Effect.

I don't see any reason they would do more in space than was in the original game. Fire the rocket as a weapon, and send it back down to the surface. There's nothing really to do story wise. The world is in jeopardy, they won't randomly decide to go explore the solar system or anything like that.

If you want to radically change the story for some reason then sure I suppose it's possible, but in that case I wouldn't share the desire to change things just so we have some random space travel.

I hope they do what they did with the PS4 version of FFX HD and remix the entire soundtrack but allow the player to switch between the new and the old. Ideally it would be cool if you could choose individual tracks to be new or old but that's too much work for Square probably.

Never played Mass effect.
And I think I realized something, When I said Space exploration, I meant not dozens of planets, one or 2 is fine.
It's not that drastic of a change, hell they could go longer after 'final boss battle' and extra stuff.

You guys have no creative thinking. I'd almost say stuck up. lol

It's a remake of FF7, not FF7-2.

What you're suggesting is akin to having an Evangelion vs Batman fight in Batman Begins, because that's how much exploring alien planets have to do with FF7.

Since it's obvious that they will add things into this remake, am I the only one who wants to see Gilgamesh make an appearance? I mean in later games (FFXII) you can clearly see him wielding the buster blade, so I would've thought he'd be in 7 in the first place.

Extra optional battles outside of the main story progression are always welcomed in my book.

However while here I'm worrying about whether they'll put all the old content in, I see a lot of people asking for even more content, you sure set your hopes high!

Probably . Some would tend to grow more emotionally detached to her over time knowing how things would turn out.

I wouldn't mind seeing more involvement from the WEAPONs. A boss fight against Sapphire WEAPON would be neat.

I have a lot of faith in Nomura.

But yeah I'd prefer them to leave the story as untouched as possible. Maybe a little expanding on some parts (which is inevitable) but nothing too serious that actually impacts it.

well, if you beat the game 7 times and have all three of your party have 7777 hp when you get to the lost city, you can save her.

nah I got a easier way... I remember a long time ago that you can save Aeris if you can find her wandering soul somewhere underneath the sea near junon where a certain "weapon" reside and the rest were history. Ah, good times.

That's essentially what SEGA did with the remake of Phantasy Star 2. Maybe there's a chance SE will do the same.

That most likely is part of it. This time people are probably trying to emotionally distance themselves from her.
