Decent Object duel despite the predictable ending. For some reason, I really liked the OST used this episode. Seems like Charlotte shows a slightly softer side as well

The battle between the Baby Magnum and the Wing Balancer was a lot better in this episode. Other than that, Quenser killed Nutley in a cool way and we see why the Indigo Plasma wasn't helping the 37th.

There's actually a lot I like in this episode- lots of cool moments all around.

Bling Bling

- The big battle with everyone chipping into taking down Wind Balancer
- The revelation of Nutley's allegiance
- Charlotte was secretly a fangirl of Qwenthur's escapades
- Haivia finally got some game on
- Qwenthur stealing the some diamonds

Minor thing but I was amused that Frolaytia was careful enough not to say Qwenthur's name in front of Monica lol.

All round excellent ending to the arc.

"Achoo!" Flide sniffles in his cardboard box home "Either I'm having a cold or some assholes talking behind my back."

Nutley certainly got a fabulous death. Not many people get to become a diamond encrusted corpse.

I know I am going to hate myself for this. But diamonds make horrible projectiles, they are light and brittle so the only thing you would be left with is diamond dust on the armor.

I'm actually hoping Flide will return at some point with a bunch of people that Quenther and Havia have pissed off, and we get a story where Flide and co are trying to murder them (instead of trying to let an Object kill them).

This was acknowledged in the book.

Diamonds were so hard they would shatter, so they were normally ill suited as bullets or shells.

However, while a military model may have been a different story, they had enough destructive power to penetrate the armor of a mining model.

The countless gems found their way in through gaps in the steel plates and became a storm of deadly bullets.

there it happens again with billions of dollars worth of super weapons that are Objects being easily destroyed by mundane stuff,
this time by an over glorified laser pointer, seriously the Wing Balancer might not be a good weapon to use next to a town or city with an infrared light show rave party club,

damn that Nutley, have you ever refer someone to as SHINE LIKE A DIAMOND when they died? i mean literally, with the flesh of their corpse jammed with diamonds, ouch.......

Blink and you'll miss it, Charlotte and Qwenthur talked about it in the tunnel, but that's specifically an IR jammer.

What I do like is that it took all 3 main protagonists to doing their part to take down Wing Balancer.

so it disables the infrared, not to confuse it?

To be honest, nutsley dead is a little dumb though. considering his position he should has a clear look from his monitor of what in front of him, My guess is a bunch of diamond and an explosive attach to a steel plate, bend and aim toward him, any decently smart person will at least Sense some danger and should try to dodge/block it power armor or not.

Good thing i want him dead anyway so it doesnt matter

How would he had seen the explosive if it was behind the plate? Remember he was walking towards it from the front.

Also it probably didn't look like diamonds because it was still within the ore.

Technically it does both. It disables the sensors by overloading it with IR.

Diamond shrapnels. The most dazzling way to die.

And the 24th has gone rogue. Is the kingdom in a civil war?

I feel like it would have been a bigger deal if it were an all-out Civil War.

After all, if a Civil War lead to multiple French objects damaging or destroying each other, the lost of strategic power could allow the other world powers to conquer their core territories, or at least strip them of their Extraterritorial Possessions, which as what the war is about, as far as I can tell.

WAR IS PEACE in this world, and all-out internal conflict could jeopardize that.

hmm yeah, you probably right on that one.

another thing that i notice is, the safe that qwenty open with the crowbar, thats a steel safe right? i mean, it used to store the ore diamond so it must be solid as hell, yet qwenty just bend it with his kick? well, even before he kick it can you pry open a steel safe with crowbar for a start?

I assumed it was just a container to transport the raw ore to be processed.
