RT really takes too much graphical processing power without something like DLSS level sorcery, so until AMD has something similar that will run on the PS5 and Series X you probably can't expect higher FPS in 4k with RTX ON.

I've not owned a games console before but I've wondered about buying a PS5 to play games on since playing games on my Mac hasn't been the most fun.
However, when I look at the currently available PS5 games, I'm not that keen on them - I prefer more strategy type games. I guess I can just wait... I've wondered about building myself a games PC instead... even though I hate Windows. |

I think we'll know for sure once people test the XBox One Series S back compat vs an XBox One X. That's basically a clear CPU upgrade with little to no changes to the GPU grunt.

I managed to get a PS5 from a preorder a few weeks ago during announcement day.
So far, I've played the preinstalled Astro's Playroom and few hours of Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Both games incredibly well at 60 FPS. The adaptive triggers for the Dualsense also works wonderfully for Astro's Playroom that takes full advantage of its features. Even the dynamic weather for the worlds can be 'felt' through the controller. It's probably my favorite controller at this rate, although it's slightly heavier than Dualshock.
