No subs w/mkv's
so, i seem to be having an issue with seeing subtitles with mkv files. Installed, matroska, re-installed matroska, installed ccp, reinstalled ccp. VSFilter just doesn't seem to load for some reason......any advice?
EDIT: I am useing WMP and they used to play properly and just stopped, everything else works fine still |

As suggested, use a recommended player such as Media Player Classic and after that you best find out why VSFilter doesn't install (like, supply details of problem). If you still have problems, report back here with details as we request in the above sticky. |

HMmmm... Uninstall everying, I mean everything related to playback.
Reboot. Install just CCCP. From what I can see you are causing a conflict.

WMP usually has problems actually loading DirectShow filters it doesn't believe are needed. You will likely have to turn on the Autoload VSFilter feature in Haali's Media Splitter Settings. Start->Programs->CCCP->Media Splitter Settings, Compatibility->Autoload VSFilter.
VSFilter should load then. But yes please use a better player , you are only bound to run into more WMP problems. |
